Is this the right forum to get help with the Chameleon w/Rockchip RK3288 with the installation "spmc-armeabi-v7a_13.3.4_beta1.apk" and "open_hour_chameleon_android_4.4.2_20141119_1.0.7.img"?

My Denon (AVR-E300) receiver is not displaying DTS-MA/DTS when playing movies with that codec. Though outside of spmc the video players are able to PASSTHROUGH the DTS codec to the receiver but the video color is gross and unwatchable.

I first played the movie SWEETWATER.ISO it played fine just the audio codec did not get passthrough. Then stopped and played THE EQUALIZER.MKV, still no passthrough and the video's color got distorted and unwatchable.

Yes, HDMI bitstream was set in Android settings, MAC addy written. Any help would be appreciated I've enclosed a link to my log file "deleted"

Thank you

Edited: Never mind this is not the place.

Not the right thread for support of Chameleon anyway, try instead with http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=203521

Could Media / Syabas otherwise have their own official/unofficial community forum at http://networkedmediatank.com

Thank you for your quick response and direction. I've perused those links earlier in my research and thought I give the Chameleon a trial. Confused

The Chameleon has good potential to be a very nice Kodi platform when the software is mature. I'm impress with its(xbmc) response playing videos from my UNRAID nas

Right now bitstreaming using android_4.4.2 and two different installs of XBMC just produces "Hiss" when playing DTS/DTS-MASTER/Dolby TRUEHD. Nod

Again, thank you

Hi Guys,

I may need your help, I bought yesterday the Tronsmart R28 meta with software ver 109k4 , karnel ver 3.10.0
For using XBMC.
The box connected by spdif to Yamaha reciver 5.1 (RX-V457).
I instaled XBMC 13.2 for android arm file.
Unfortunately the XMBC dose not working well, sometimes the XBMC starts with black screen and does not change...

Can some one tell me which firmware should I use?
Which XBMC should I Installed? any addons for DTS and Dolby digital needed?

Please include links

Thank you Smile

The best way is
- install wasser firmware 2.0.3
- install the last kodi v14 rc3 or final

Help!

I'm trying to flash the wasser firmware to my Tronsmart r28 with AndroidTool 2.3

Frimware file name: wasser-2.0.3-beelink-r89-rk3288
From: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?20089-NEW-Wasser-Firmware-V2-0-3-for-Beelink-R89-Tronsmart-R28&highlight=tronsmart+r28
But when I'm pressing on Upgrade I'm getting the message: "Match device type failed, stop running!"

How can I fix it?

Thanks Mitcd Smile

I updated my Tronsmart R28 to Wasser firmware,
The spdif connected to Yamaha reciver, unfortunately I cann't get 5.1CH, When I'm using XBMC latest version, I'm getting PCM 2CH on my reciver(while xbmc playing AAC 5.1 movie).
I tryied to use spdif passthrough but it still PCM 2ch on the reciver.

Is that normal?
By the way do you recommended to install codec for digital sound (for using Xbmc, popcoren time etc...)
If so,which codec to install?

You should be using SPMC if you want passthrough support on Rockchip devices.

Also have to use firmware after 24/12/14 to have SPDIF passthrough.

Thank you @amclean123 video working beautifully, audio is better, DTS is being displayed by my receiver via hdmi passthrough.
cant wait for the next iteration.
