Thanks, I'm following this thread too Smile

It runs very good on my small Beebox

Actually I was thinking about trying the v17 builds. What do you think?

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - flashbackk - 2016-01-13

The latest v17 builds work fine on my beebox.

Do you know if these builds have a bug in them that Boblight does not work please?

Thank You
Calisto

Boblight needs to be updated ... API change in v17. Boblight script was already fixed by Memphiz. See latest commit: https://github.com/bobo1on1/script.xbmc.boblight/commits/master

I had his April version of OE on my BeeBox, yesterday I put 64-6.0.95 and BeeBox freeze every boot. It works with OE v17

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - fritsch - 2016-01-13

downgrade from v17 to v15 what you did is not supported at all ...

No, I was using v15. then tried newest v15 version. But it freeze. v17 works great, so no problem

Yeah - there was some issues with the .9x versions - sadly no one until now has ever tried to get me some kernel dmesg reports :-) As I force pushed this version away I don't even know anymore what is in there. There won't be a v16 stable version as we did immense of work for v17 already so that I won't even try to pick relevant work to a v16 fritsch semi official build.

Every bug that is found in v17 (not addons, as they need to be adjusted) should be brought to our attention.

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - sw4y - 2016-01-15

Hey,

I want to change my running HTPC setup from AMD to Intel.
After some reading, the ASRock Beebox N3000 seems to be the perfect choice for me.

I want to play 1080p files and LiveTV (interlaced/progressive coming from my tvserver) with best deinterlacing options, so I'll stick with one of fritsch' builds I guess.
HEVC 10 bit and 4K is not interesting at the moment.

I think this should be no problem for the N3000 Beebox?

On the other hand I would love to keep my case because it fits perfectly into my home setup.

Would the ASRock N3150-ITX Board do the job for me?

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - fritsch - 2016-01-16

Yes, it would for the content you want to watch. You can throw it for hevc 10 bit later that year :-)

Edit: For LiveTV
Deinterlace: Auto
Deinterlacing-Method: VAAPI Motion Compensation
Save for all files

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - sw4y - 2016-01-16

Thank you fritsch!

Ordered!

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - fritsch - 2016-01-17

Which one did you order? The beebox or a board?

RE: ASRock Beebox (Braswell) - sw4y - 2016-01-18

I ordered an ASRock N3150-ITX Board along with 8gb Kingston Ram to use Dual Channel.

I will also use an existing SSD and my 90W pico PSU in a Silverstone Milo Case.

Yeah - i have a similar combination, that I documented somewhere here - but I cannot find it currently :-)
