For all, we had a lot of work to make everything work properly, unfortunately with new things always new bugs may appear. I promise to fix all of them in the shortest time possible.

For the Stranger, I have not forgotten the promise of textures, this moment is difficult, wait a bit longer please.

No need to apologize at all. We are glad to have someone so on top of things. At least for me personally I am glad to help out with any bugs I can find.

SlaveUnit Wrote:I may have found another one.

Set your SETTINGS backgrounds so they are pointed to a folder to display multiple backgrounds. Then go to SETTINGS. Once there, there are still 2 menu items on the left that display the backgrounds way too fast. They all used to do this but it seems they were all fixed but PROFILES and VISUALIZATIONS. Are these fixable so that they display backgrounds only as fast as the he other menu items (or the main menu)? Thanks.

xmls corrected for this bug:

I understand, I can wait. Any word on the problem with TV Show playlists?

Thanks. These all (as well as the version.py file) worked great. Looking forward to seeing them on the github.

I can confirm it seems to work fine with Beta 3, although navigation has slowed down somewhat. I will likely wait for Dharma now.

Image

a little more investigation...

TV playlists look like they are fighting to display as movie playlists although the side menu has the TV Show logo the view's offered are the views I have selected for movies and obviously do not include the views I have selected for TV Shows. As you can see in the image above old multiplex is struggling the most.

I assume a change in the myvideoplaylist.xml is in order. Can anyone please confirm they are having the same problem Huh

Switch to confluence skin then try to uninstall from within xbmc.

Thanks , uninstalled it and reinstalled it but my corrupt settings are still there How can i remove all settings associated with Aeon MQ also?(ie main menu items, backdrops, styles etc etc). So that everything becomes like new so to say.

What os and are you running in portable mode?

When you install skins from within XBMC they go to your profile and not the regular addons part.
For instance in windows 7 -
portable mode - C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\portable_data\addons\skin.AeonMQ-2
regular/profile mode - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.AeonMQ-2

Either way you want to find the guisettings.xml and maybe rename it (for a backup), then possibly create a new file with the same nae and hopefully it will populate it. I think this would clear out everything for all skins.
portable mode - C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\portable_data\userdata\guisettings.xml
regular/profile modes - C:\Users\cynical\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\guisettings.xml

All of the skin settings are stored in guisettings.xml. You have a couple of options - you can just delete it, but you'll lose other stuff like resolution choices, audio settings, scraper settings, etc. The more viable option is to edit the file and remove all of the skin specific settings.

they are located at the end of the file in the <skinsettings> block. The you can either blow them all away, or only remove the ones for AeonMQ2. Those ones will be identified with a name attribute of "skin.AeonMQ-2" (or whatever is current if this is a 'new' skin rather than an upgrade.

How to edit that file depends on your OS and level of comfort. If you're running windows, simply find the guisettings.xml file and open it in wordpad. If you're running linux or LIVE, I prefer to do my editing using nano

SpicyRichter Wrote:I'm having troubles with the recently added widget: it's empty
When I go to the recent items submenu under TV shows or movies, things show up correctly, however, the list in the widget is blank. It doesn't appear to be throwing any errors in the log file.

The only thing different about my install is the fact I'm hosting the database on a mysql server

I just installed the 2.5 release (looks great so far!) and that forced me to figure out what I changed before to make the recently added widget work with mysql without having to modify the recentlyadded script (which is also a perfectly OK way to do it).

Open Home.xml and modify the following lines:
<onfocus>XBMC.RunScript(script.recentlyadded,limit=8&albums=True&unplayed=True&totals=True)</onfocus>

to

<onfocus>XBMC.RunScript(script.recentlyadded,limit=8)</onfocus>

It doesn't filter as well (shows things you've watched) but the widget now works.

got 5 items

- ralob - 2010-12-05

With the recently added script, set to 10 items, no thumb/poster, is shown. It is just the default icon.

- boykster - 2010-12-05

OK - recentlyadded w/ mysql continued. Ederson's fix of modifying the recentlyadded.py script and fixing the isnull conditions works great too.
