RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-08-10 (2018-08-10, 22:50)Trespasser Wrote: Hi Milhouse, There is no bash in LibreELEC - it comes with Busybox ash (which can be and is used an alternative to actual bash ).It's hard to think how the shell can cause a segfault that isn't due to some other problem. If Kodi is segfaulting then upload the Kodi crash log, but without any useful information from the segfault (such as a back trace) it's impossible to suggest anything other than you should contact the add-on author for assistance. BTW, it's not an addon that segfaults...it's my bash script (I ssh in and run it from terminal). As I said, the same script runs fine in Krypton.(2018-08-10, 22:50)Trespasser Wrote: Hi Milhouse, Again, thank you. LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-08-11 If you can identify the shell command that triggers the segfault (or post a reproducible test case) then maybe it can be investigated further. Not sure if it's responsible but testing a build with the commit reverted might be worth a try. so long, Hias RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-08-11 (2018-08-11, 10:58)HiassofT Wrote: Looking at PR13416 I found one commit with relevance to DVD menus: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/90c1acaf0cee06b857030abe63e7affba79c1a65 Build #0816b has the commit reverted: RPi2 I haven't been able to test it myself. I can't check myself as I don't have any DVD rips as folder structure. No improvement, unfortunately. Here are 2 samples that stopped working properly in build #0127 and later: Sample 1 (DVD menu issue): shows blank screen (with gui menu overlay visible and audio). Disabling mmal makes it work. Disabling "adjust framerate" makes it work. Sample 2 (BD issue): blank screen with audio when trying to start the movie from within an on-disc menu. Disabling mmal makes it work. Also no issues when starting the movie from "Select playback item" instead of the on-disc menu. Since then there have been updates for BusyBox. The current stable version is 1.29.2 (July 31, 2018) which includes a fix for wget (the problem command in my bash script). I'll be looking forward to seeing BusyBox updated. I think that might solve my script problem...at least I hope so. Have a good day everyone. . Later... I tried to enable ipv6 on the #0808 build and it would not receive a non local IP from my network without disabling the firewall. Hence the issue from March still seem to persist? Regarding the firewall, could it be, that the dhcpv6 gets filtered? RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Mr. Lumbergh - 2018-08-13 I just wiped OE off my Pi today and installed the LE unstable 8-10-18 build from here on a Berryboot setup: Berryboot images So far, working beautifully and fully compatible with my VPN, which uses an SSL cert. set to expire after 2038; Kodi 17 was incompatible with it, but 18 works which is why I went 18/unstable. So far, seems pretty solid. |
