RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - ounyai - 2014-05-11

I tried Hybrid for a while but have gone back to Confluence. It's hard to break bad habits. Thanks heaps Mudislander for all your work it is much appreciated.

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - jcorsaut - 2014-05-11

Is anyone having troubles with the playlist widget on CCM? I've setup my playlist and set the widget to random, but it doesn't seem to show the widget on the home screen. Playlist works fine though. As well, I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but when I create a playlist I have to manually browse for the playlist by going into the userdata folder. I'm pretty sure that before in Frodo, when I created a new playlist, it would go straight to the playlist folder. If anyone has suggestions or a fix, that would appreciated.

As a side note, Mudislander, thanks for fixing the video node problem not showing on the homescreen.

Tried the playlist widget in the hybrid skin as well and it works without issue.

Big Thanks for removing the big studio logo on fanart view Mudislander!

Thanks for your hard work to keep this skin alive!

That doesn't sound right. XBMC does tend to remember paths used though. If you delete the menu item completely first and then add a playlist does the choice go straight to the playlist folder then?

Gotham is a lot more efficient at running code and I have run into a few issues where I'll have to do a rethink. You'll notice the option to rename a menu item is presented even when you clear the menu item. Frodo was slow enough that you could clear the menu item, then give the user a chance to select an item and then if the user had selected something pop up the keyboard to rename it. Gotham (unfortunately ?) runs so fast that it's wanting to popup the chance to rename the item before the choice has been made. That's why certain menu items had stopped working. Anyway still working on trying to streamline the whole think a bit better.

What I really need is a "wait" command in the skinning engine Big Grin

Edit Okay found an issue with selecting the default playlist folder - will fix this week.

I did try deleting the menu item and then adding a playlist, but it still doesn't go straight to the playlist folder. Also tried creating a new playlist and then adding it to the menu, but I still had the same issue. Thanks again though for looking into this.

Thanks for a great XBMC skin, Mudislander - it's awesome and works perfectly on my Nexus 7 tablet.

I have one issue though, as it relates to the XBMC Karaoke Add-on.

In short, the display of Karaoke files is too large, and looks like this, cutting off all the lyrics and making it impossible to use:

Image

All other video files from all other add-ons play fine.

I tested the Karaoke add-on using other installs of XBMC on other devices, that use the regular Confluence skin, and the video window is fine there.

So I'm wondering, what tweak should I be looking into/making to the "Confluence Mod" skin, in order to make the Karaoke add-on's video display properly?

Thanks for any insight...

Hi!

I have been using CCM for a while now, being my favourite skin from my very XBMC start actually. Being wise, I disabled XBMC automatic update and still run with Frodo ;o)

Before I jump the gap (as I certainly will! That's where all the fun is) and upgrade to Gotham and the latest CCM rep, can you give us a quick summary list of essential things no longer working (if any?) - I'm not talking weather app (plugin), but the essential stuf like playlists, programs, etc...

Thanks for posting and keep up the GREAT work (despite some frustrated comments here and there, CCM rocks ;o) )

Cheers

However I've just done a code snippet for the new Hybrid that does this, so when I find time will port it back.

I need this one as well. I had to switch themes so I can see the status of my Tuners. Please add this to the update list, would love to switch back to this skin.

A whole new widget would need to be coded for this, doubt if I'd find the inclination for the work. My media system has satellite tuners but am now on cable so the whole PVR section is U/S to me.

Hello,
is there any chance to get this widget realized ?
Thank you for the great skin and the fantastic support !

Bernd

Not sure Smile Weather works for me. Add menu items is having issues ATM but working on it.

Maybe - Revering back to a satellite provider next month. The tech may install an extra cable or two if I'm lucky.

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - ounyai - 2014-05-14

Hi Mudislander,

I am having an issue with media flags (HD / SD) since Gotham, but I don't think it is necessarily a skin issue. Any new move that is not 1080 added to the library does not show a media flag (HD/SD) .

I was hoping you could shed some light on this issue? Is there a way to get around this? Thanks.

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - Mudislander - 2014-05-14

will try to look at it this weekend. So basically if it's not 1080 then no flag ?

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - figasse - 2014-05-15

Hi,

And so I upgraded. Everything works, except playlists. The 'system menu set' can find my playlists, but from the customisation menus when I tried to associate a 'button' with Playlist(videos) and press enter, it opens what I believe is the root folder instead and I can't find 'userdata' in any case. Same goes for 'tags'. System finds them, the skin doesn't.

I hope this helps in debugging! Please let me know if you need further info. Thanks for your hard work!

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - figasse - 2014-05-15

I confirm, the skin has lost the location to tags and smart playlists (Openelec 4.0.1)
This only goes for when you try to customise a menu item ('Playlist(video)' does not point to the user playlists folder), because the main items (i.e KIDS, MOVIES) do find smart playlists and tags, no problem.

RE: CCM - Confluence Customizable Mod - ClimberMel - 2014-05-15

I'm getting a dependencies not met when I try to install the skin. It says it is v 2.0.2 that it is trying to install. My test box is running XBMC for Windows 12.2.
