- JaccoH - 2012-01-06 Good. That is exactly the same behaviour as I have. - routehero - 2012-01-07 Where are you getting the 295 drivers from? The latest I see on nvidia.com are for 290. - JaccoH - 2012-01-07 http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=122606 - routehero - 2012-01-07 Stable here on 295 with VDPAU / no refresh rate changes. - w1ll14m - 2012-01-08 Still haven't had any crash yet with 295.09 driver on 32 bits machine that is related to libnvidia-tls. seems to be running stable for almost a week now. - BLKMGK - 2012-01-09 Not a single crash or alarming error in my logs (I tail them over SSH) since turning off UPNP. Tempted to turn it back on to see if issues return or not - Zxurian - 2012-01-09 same. Since upgrading to v295, I haven't had any crashes. - JaccoH - 2012-01-09 Just reporting on progress: With the last series of commits todays daily is much better: 295.09 beta driver, refreshrate change enabled, syncing to audio enabled. Started like 12 movies and it crashed only once. This was when I was resuming when instead starting it from scratch. I have not been able to reproduce this, so I cant say for sure that there is a problem left in resuming the video. Crashlog: http://pastebin.com/77z3jtcE - P.Kosunen - 2012-01-11 Seems to be pretty stable again, can scrape without crashes. - routehero - 2012-01-12 I had a hiccup tonight. Took about 40 seconds, but it recovered on its own. Code: :56 T:140708430214912 DEBUG: CDVDPlayerAudio - CDVDMsg::GENERAL_RESYNC(32000.000000, 1) - xbmc17 - 2012-01-12 Sadly I've had to move to the Windows version which seems to be rock solid. Even with PNP off, I'm crashing randomly (290 drivers) on both my systems. I don't really want to move to Beta 295 drivers, especially when others have reported they are still getting crashes even though they're fewer. - JaccoH - 2012-01-12 I havent had a single crash in days. - xbmc17 - 2012-01-12 JaccoH Wrote:I havent had a single crash in days. OK, from your earlier message "295.09 beta driver, refreshrate change enabled, syncing to audio enabled. Started like 12 movies and it crashed only once." combined with the fact that I'm not crazy about running beta video drivers I didn't upgrade yet. - w1ll14m - 2012-01-20 xbmc17 Wrote:OK, from your earlier message "295.09 beta driver, refreshrate change enabled, syncing to audio enabled. I would recommend you to atleast test the beta driver. If it's unstable you can always revert to a previous version. My experience with drivers after 275 and before 295.09 had atleast 4 to 5 crashes per evening. Now atmost once a week (my machine is almost running xbmc 24/7, no desktop) unless i'm doing something stupid ofcourse. - routehero - 2012-02-18 Anyone still experiencing VDPAU issues? I'm still getting sporadic issues. I've just upgraded to 295.20, but it doesn't seem much better. Running XBMC Beta3 from unstable ppa now, but don't mind going back to source. Code: 21:04:15 T:140713396270848 ERROR: CVDPAU::Check - device didn't reset in reasonable time |
