RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - Matt Devo - 2014-09-10 yes, mine is just a bit newer as it has some changes from the past few days that were of interest RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - ant_thomas - 2014-09-10 Matt, I assume yours includes the updated Intel driver? RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - warrell - 2014-09-10 Just a quick not to say the programming ctrl + d to a key on your Flirc remote dose not work at boot screen. Stuck with wired keyboard and wireless for now RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - magy77 - 2014-09-10 I cant see the bootmenu. Ive tried to install your helix release. i dont know its the helix usb installer broken oder it is since newest coreboot release? Any ideas? *EDIT* ive tried another usb stick. now its working RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - c0mm0n - 2014-09-10 Thx Matt, will test tonight. RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - menno - 2014-09-10 "Do a fresh install" Means I cannot put this over Beta 6 ? RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - Matt Devo - 2014-09-10 (2014-09-10, 21:43)menno Wrote: "Do a fresh install" Means I cannot put this over Beta 6 ? you can, but if you experience any weirdness, then I'd use the 'soft reset' option under OpenELEC settings RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - PityOnU2 - 2014-09-10 Thanks for all the great work here, specifically with coreboot and SeaBIOS. Two quick questions though; 1. What key do I press to get into the BIOS options at boot? I know ESC opens boot options, but what about the oh-so-important BIOS options? 2. Rocking Windows Server I found a device with vendor ID GOOG and device ID 9999. Can any Linux users give me info as to what that is? My guess is it's related to TPM, but my Google Pixel's "GOOG" device is much more important so I figured I'd ask. RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - Stereodude - 2014-09-10 1) There's no BIOS to get into. (in the sense you're thinking of it like a conventional PC) RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - ant_thomas - 2014-09-10 Matt : I've done a soft reset and the TVH addon won't enable. API error it seems Code: ERROR: PVR - Add-on 'Tvheadend HTSP Client' is using an incompatible API version. XBMC minimum API version = '1.9.2', add-on API version '1.9.1' Anyone else had this issue with the dev build? RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - menno - 2014-09-10 Ok ive tested the new hw vaapi (except BOB) on Chromebox Celeron (cheapest one) First thing is, Tvheadend doesnt work under this release since it doesnt met dependencies Second, that is ok since I have some recorded interlaced tv shows, but in general a very shitty coincedence Third I see that motion compensated has better results than motion adapted. I saw some "vibrating" horizontal lines on the later. Please someone post when there is a release with working Tvheadend addon //edit it is also implemented for H264 only and not for MPEG2, that might be because mpeg2 in europe is SD material only (live TV) and this could be handled by advanced software de-interlacing. Is this the reason? If there's not already a thread or two on the OpenELEC forums, then creating one would be the best way forward. This thread needs to stay on-topic: issues surrounding my coreboot firmware and the use of my script. I've ended up going back to 4.1.6 because I'm currently more than happy with Yadif deinterlacing so I'll wait until it becomes "stable" RE: Asus/HP ChromeBox EZ Setup (OpenELEC or Ubuntu+XMBC) [v2.19 - 2014/09/06] - -DDD- - 2014-09-11 Here is a Thread in OpenElec Forum for Helix Build, maybe you can share your Experience there: http://openelec.tv/forum/20-development-discussion/72513-openelec-and-kodi-helix-alpha#115524 |
