Other thing

I think you should consider about themes

Now you could have themes for conditional sequences for ex for christmas, halloween, easter, summer, and everything else
But within those themes , you should be able to use more than one theme so it sticks to the themes

For example for i christmas i have theme 1 and theme 2 and 3
If i make the sequence i point to theme christmas as conditonal sequences
But then cinemavision should auto chose random between christmas theme 1 and 2 and 3 but always stick to the same theme when playing videos
i hope im clear

Now thats not possible
but we are getting close !

I agree with this. I do not want to have to make sequences for ever time something new in my life happens.

Weird, I just tried it again and it still says “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable”

Hello.
I ask for help.
I use to play the movies of an external player, and when I run the sequence in CinemaVision, I only lose the first cast and return back to the main screen. When using an internal player it works fine, but playback is not smooth.
I do not want to give up CinemaVision. Does anyone know how to help me?
Thanks.

I was just wondering if CinemaVision can be run automatically in any way without choosing it from the context menu?

By this I mean I just click the movie in my library, the CinemaVision auto starts and that's that. No faffing with an extra pop-up or picking from another menu first etc...

I'm new to using this and don't fully understand the faff if it doesn't all just start automatically. All I would really like to start with is the ratings and audio bumpers.

I am using Arctic Zephr+ and this has it built into the context menu, but it still seems like more clicks than are necessary - just my opinion.

Any thoughts or views on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there! I know you asked this on the CinemaVision website forum, but I wanted to reply here for those folks that don't want to search two forums for the answer. CinemaVision can't control playback from an external player, so you're losing a bunch of features, some reliability, and likely the ability to play specific items in your Sequence like using the Trivia Module. We code specifically for the default Kodi VideoPlayer, and all outside support has to be added by the developer of the player you choose to use. That includes things like the HiMedia wrapper, external players, and more.

While that's not currently a feature, it is one that we're adding to the CinemaVision Service Add-on which is currently in beta. Stay tuned! Right now, your options for launching are:
  1. Using the CinemaVision Launcher Context Item Add-on.
  2. Using the CinemaVision or Cinema Mode button on the Movie Information screen if this method is supported by your skin.
  3. Using the Context Menu in the CinemaVision Sequence Editor, and selecting Play.

Excellent! I'll just wait then. Thanks for letting me know.

Sure thing! I'd suggest you go ahead and get everything set up the way you want it. Your Sequence can be as simple, or as complex, as you want. Once you get started with configuring things your way, you may find that you geek out and end up down a rabbit hole with some questions. The time you spend on it now will mean that when we get the feature you want in place, you can immediately dive right in and use it exactly the way you want to use it.

Feel free to reach out here, or on the CinemaVision website if you have any questions. There's a ton of content on the site to choose from, or you can download and use your own!

RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Ragnarok - 2017-12-02

Version 1.1.0 has been pushed to the official Kodi Repository! This release includes a ton of bug fixes, Conditional Sequences, fixes for Kodi 18, and more. Please let me know if you all have issues with this version. Additionally, a development version of the CinemaVision Service Add-on has been released on the CinemaVision website. Currently included in the CinemaVision Service Add-on is automatic content updating.

Nice! Will have to try it out this evening!

I guess that this must be a Kodi limitation, but it sure would be nice if the release date of the current build was shown, rather than the original date the Add-ons was installed.

RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - xodi - 2017-12-04

The "Content Path" setting doesn't support special protocol for a path like "special://home/cv", can this be supported?

Where do you see the date you're referring to? If you're referring to this, chances are it will update when the version in the repository replicates. It should show the release date for the current version.

Hey there! The Content path setting supports everything Kodi does. I've got mine pointing to a SMB share at the moment. What are you trying to point to? Have you added that as a source in the Kodi File Manager?
