RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-05-13

I've uploaded a new nightly that I got to work a little faster after all if both a thumbnail image and .nfo file is found, and some other goodies of course, but I'm still working on Youtube support, they made things quite tricky this time it seems.

@smack bob:
Depending on your file name (cd# / part# / #), ViMM shouldn't have any troubles with multi-part files, it'll write an .nfo and poster file for the first part of the movie, and XBMC will pick both files up correctly as belong to the same movie.
What exactly are you having problems with?

Ahh thanks I think the main issue is I didn't know how it worked. I didn't realise XBMC would list them as one, is there any documentation on correct folder naming etc for multiple CD movies? I couldn't see it in the manual.

Also, I am wondering what happens if I do a bulk rename of all the files once I am happy all the NFO's etc are correct, will the CD1 CD2 be kept?

For XBMC stuff, look for on the XBMC wiki: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Video_library/Naming_files/Movies ;-)

I've done my best to make sure the 'part' names are kept save during the batch rename. ^^

Vidal,

Will it be possible to add (multi) to folders and file names when media info detect more than one audio track ?

Something like $M on the naming patterns would be extremely appreciated!!!

Thank's!

And if I'd use the regular tag to display them all at once? like so '8 6'

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - yannickrose - 2013-05-16

having a movie name StarWars (1982) Multi.mkv would be better in my opinion. I don't want the name of tracks but just multi so i know it contain more than one audio track.

Thank's

I don't think that's going to translate all that nicely to other languages.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - yannickrose - 2013-05-16

All the teams i saw on the net name their movie with MULTI when it has more than one audio track.

if you have a better idea to distinguich easily movies that has more than one adio track let me know, i'm not sure i understood the 8 6 you said earlier.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-05-16

currently the $F tag puts the audio channels into the name, but only the first audio track's, I can adjust to to show all audio track's channels, resulting for example in a track with 8 channels and a second track with 6 channels showing up as '8 6', or to use your example: 'Star Wars (1982) 8 6.mkv'.

But now I assume more appropriate would be to use language codes, like 'Star Wars (1982) en, ru.mkv' or "Star Wars (1982) english, russian.mkv'.
Using the actual language tags might also be more useful then 'multi' to see which languages are actually used.

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - yannickrose - 2013-05-16

Yeah use french english instead or else it could mess up with years by YAMJ or other jukebox if you put 8 6 when it scans on IMDB and TMDB.

+1 for languages then!

Thank's

Alright, it only works if the video file has the language names encoded into the audio tracks, but for multi-language files that should probably be the default.

Try this build and add the tag "$L" for languages:

Vidal,

I just tested it and here is how i got Django (1966) renamed with $L

Django (1966) 1080p {language Code='it'}italian{ - language}, {language Code='fr'}french{ - language}, {language Code='en'}english{ - language}

RE: [MAC] ViMediaManager - Media Manager for Mac OS X! - MariusTh86 - 2013-05-17

where those really '{' brackets or '<' brackets?

Edit:
Alright, this build should do better:
