clckwrkorange Wrote:Where do i find the download for this file (librtmp) for Windows 7 and where does it go?

It was in the Hulu thread I will look for the link and edit this post

EDIT
http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=839208&postcount=415

I extracted the file and I couldn't find the file so I had to do a search for librtmp.dll and I change the original to librtmp1.dll and put the new one

hulu fixed - Ryan00 - 2011-08-26

Okay did some searching on how to get hulu to work agian with the new handshake. I knew all you had to do is replace the librtmp.0.dll file. However their is some confusion where to find this file location for the apple tv 2 well here is the locations.

Atv 2 /Applications/XBMC.frappliance/Frameworks

Windows C:\Program Files\XBMC\system\players\dvdplayer

All you have to do is download the new librtmp.0.dll drag and drop into the location for your platform. Then hulu,Mtv ect ... should work once again. This is how i did it and it works great for me. Hope this clears up some confusion how hulu and many others get errors.

tried this tonight, my fiance loved it. we watched a few eps of abcs extreme home makeover and cried a little lol.

only issue is a few shows on different networks either dont load at all, or stutter alot.

also can't wait for you to add the PBS station, hopefully then i can watch THIS OLD HOUSE! as the other pbs plugin doesn't show it Sad

keep up the great work!

If you are having stuttering issues, try and lower the quality of the stream in the add on settings.

For anyone else that is using the free cable plug in on the ATV 2, is it slow loading up once you select which network you want to watch?? The plug in works great! Great quality stream, no buffering, just slow loading! Im using the 8/28 nightly and had previously used the 8/21 nightly with the exact same issue. Is it just the way the plug in works?? Can post a log if needed when I get home today.

Heres log:

I am still fairly new to this but it looks like it has something to do with sqlite.

I can't be of any help with this, but I am experiencing the same exact thing on my ATV2 running 10.0-9, I had thought of updating to a nightly to see if that would solve this, but apparently not and since everything else works fine I guess there is no point in updating yet. This plugin works great, just takes some time to load up.

Thanks for the input because I had actually thought of going to the official! I guess that makes no difference either. I think it has something to do with the DB. If I read correctly it should scrape once and store in DB for future use. I could be wrong though, but it seems to be scraping each time a network is selected. But again I could be way in left field with my thinking!

shanewilliams: It uses beatifulsoup to process the html/xml. It is rather slow on the atv2. It is quick on my atom/ion htpc. It just wasn't designed with the atv2 in mind. regular expressions are faster but I like beatifulsoup.

Thanks for the info. I just wasn't sure if it was something I had done wrong, if it was XBMC or the hardware. Its still a great plug in....No more searching for the new episodes of Pretty Little Liars for the wife! Thanks for your hard work!
