it does, however, how do i get windows to stop changing the name? It is as you thought, windows has named the file cbs.py.txt, however the .txt doesn't show up in the filename to allow me to change it. It appears when I check the properties.

Try putting the filename in quotes when you save it.

You could download Notepad++ and it will retain your extension:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

You can also just change the extension from your windows explorer window

Thanks for the suggestions. I was able to remove the.text extension through DOS. Now I think I'm in business.[/i]

Not working for me either.

You can also deselect "Hide extensions for known file types" in the control panel's folder options so you can rename the extension. You just have to be careful when saving/renaming files that you don't lose the extension.

PBSKids was working but isn't now. From the log I see "This portal has been disabled." when going to the URL in he log I get the same message. Looks like the PBsKids addon is also affected.

* video descriptions, etc. are working now
* large thumbnail
* Classics still not completely working (problem was StarTrek links and the video list for classics is different)

Since my fix requires scraping each video link for the description and other data, the whole thing seems very slow to me now. I would appreciate it if other could test and maybe look at the code for optimization.

Free Cable - CBS Fix Only

cbs.py

Thanks again for this file, so much nicer to have Dave (Letterman) playing again in XBMC, I can't stand network websites, the Flash alone just murders your brower aka CPU/RAM Sad

XBMC plays it all nice and smooth Smile

I've played around with the pbskids file and gotten it working. Based on the pbs file with tweaks to the playback code. Fixed pbskids.py here http://pastebin.com/bQ0rEPg0

I've applied the same fix to pbs. The fixed pbs.py file is here http://pastebin.com/mB33CT3g

just curious- is this still being maintained by bluecop? looks like everyone just making their own fixes for this now... are any of these fixes available through a repo?

Same question here.

Perhaps if bluecop can't maintain it like doesn't have enough time, perhaps somebody can look at providing a repo or at least some place that every single fix is stored so there is an easier way of finding the fixes vs scanning all over the forum.

Hmm ... maybe a fix database for addons?

At this moment you can find them here: fixes only for free cable
