I was offended to read that, knowing how much work you put in to this skin for the entire community and for free, you've made a gorgeous and incredibly fast sleek and elegant skin and you've dedicated a lot of time to it (and it shows) it rivals all the other skins out there and is well received by everyone. There is no justification required here, we all know how fast this skin is... I'm runing it on a puny little revo (atom) and this is the only skin that truly works for me, and gives me all the functionality of the power hungry skins but with out the need for a hard core gaming rig. There are other nice skins available, but they are not as fluid on my little revo but I wouldn't dream of bashing the devs for that reason Posting comments like that, and images like that are exactly what this forum does not need, and as I said, I commend your patience and diplomacy in dealing with those comments as it's not what you expect to hear after all your hard work. We are grateful to have you, I'd still be using explorer if it wernt for you - butchabay - 2011-09-01 PatrickBateman Wrote:Absolutely, You know what ? The next release will be faster ! I've found the problem of slowdown on all views, i'm going to fix them. You surely noticed slowdown in all list views, now i have the solution, and mate now it's SPEED ! Some news: I've created my own repo, so no need to wait such long for updates ! cheers Good News - butchabay - 2011-09-01 Hi guys, i've good news, seems to be clear for me what's causing slowdowns while scrolling in library mode. I'm going to fix this and some other bugs asap and push 2.06 for dharma and nightlies. See here for more infos: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=109051 - ady199 - 2011-09-01 ady199 Wrote:I don't know why but for the last 2 hours this skin has been constantly crashing my ATV 2. I know it's the skin as I've changed to the default Confluence theme and it hasn't froze on me once. (1 hour without a crash) Strange, this theme was causing my ATV 2 to crash yesterday (as reported above) but today I'm not having any problems with it. - PatrickBateman - 2011-09-01 butchabay Wrote:You know what ? You asked me to test all the views and report back (back on page 100 or so) and I reported exactly that... "All list views are a stutter fest" http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=875547&postcount=1030 Glad the fix is en route though, really looking forward to having my ability to scroll at high speed in list view I'm majory annoyed as I wrote a massive reply with loads of info questions and ideas and my effin iPad refreshed when I went to you tube to get a link for nowall and wipes the elfin lot - butchabay - 2011-09-01 ady199 Wrote:Strange, this theme was causing my ATV 2 to crash yesterday (as reported above) but today I'm not having any problems with it. I had the same weird bug yesterday, but not only with cirrus, sometimes with confluence, simplicity ... And that major on startup of xbmc. Maybe there was some kind of script making trouble. - ady199 - 2011-09-01 butchabay Wrote:I had the same weird bug yesterday, but not only with cirrus, sometimes with confluence, simplicity ... Weird.........Glad it's now working and I'm looking forward to v2.06 - pecinko - 2011-09-01 butchabay Wrote:Hi guys, i've good news, seems to be clear for me what's causing slowdowns while scrolling in library mode. It will get solved eventually, just remember it's not skin related. EDIT Actually it seams that the very latest build fix things. See here - ady199 - 2011-09-01 ady199 Wrote:Weird.........Glad it's now working and I'm looking forward to v2.06 I think I've just found the problem - it looks to me like a problem with the Weather Plus plugin. I'm no expert but when I changed my theme back to Confluence yesterday, it put my Weather back to Weather.com, I've only just realized this so now being back on Cirrus Extended V2.05 I changed back to Weather Plus but as soon as I done this my ATV 2 crashed. I reset it and went back into XBMC and it crashed straight away - I reset it again and this time it gave me enough time to change my weather setting back to Weather.com and it 's now not crashing. I'll keep my Weather set to Weather.com for now. - butchabay - 2011-09-01 I might be wrong but weather plus isn't compatible with nightlies, i have weather plus too, so i think, good catch - butchabay - 2011-09-01 pecinko Wrote:Glad it got solved finally. Yeah hopefully the fanart problem is solved soon. Thanx a lot for your help. Cheers - keibertz - 2011-09-01 i use the weather plus add-on with preEden and i never had problems. At least i didnt noticed them - ady199 - 2011-09-01 keibertz Wrote:i use the weather plus add-on with preEden and i never had problems. Me neither until the last couple of days Kudos to Butcha and the crew - shive - 2011-09-01 Hi been following CEV2 for awhile now on the sidelines (its the only skin that's suits my needs (almost)) Butcha much respect goes out to you and the others that make this skin awesome. Just wondered if you could do a new view type if viable, like the ones below which are for WDTV and made by Taurus35. Or Something similar http://www.wdtvlive.net/showthread.php?199-Taurus35-Movie-Sheets Obviously in CEV2 colur scheme. Oh and one other thing... keep up the good work! - butchabay - 2011-09-01 @shive Thanx, i've in mind a new info screen, (that's not a view, btw) and i'll see if something similar is possible, but really low priority. Update 2.06 has high priority atm. Cheers |
