few (simple) questions - powermarcel10 - 2011-05-25

Hi guys,

I'm new with XBMC, and have a few questions about the PVR functionallity..

I'm now able to watch TV in XBMC, so that's fantastic!

My questions:

-What's exactly the different between the ffmpg and the TSreader client?
-Are there more supported skin with PVR funcionallity included? Or is only the default one compatible.. When I now choose another skin, I don't see "live TV" in the homescreen..

Hope you guys can give me some answers!!

Best regards,

powermarcel10

different implementation. and tsreader isn't supported on linux (yet?), so it's not included in the main development repos.

Thanks for your fast responce Smile

That link helps a lot.. I have another question, maybe you know the answere:

When I chanche from channel in windowed mode, it goes verry fast (1/2 seconds). But when I change from channel in full screen mode, it takes 6/7 seconds.. Isn't that strange?

Could you enable debug logging in XBMC, repeat the above and post you XBMC.log file on Pastebin?

I would expect the opposite effect. Slow in the LiveTV window and fast in full screen. Channel switching is faster than starting a new channel for the MediaPortal addons.

Hmmm, very strange, It's the world upside/down Wink

Well, here's my log.. I hope you can find something.. I have no idea what it is..

I have one thing to say: When I watch full-screen television, and press the "C" button, then there appears a bar on the right of the screen with the availible channels.. When I zap with those bar, it goes also fast. (2 seconds) But when I zap with the up and down buttons it goed very slow..

Can anyone find something in the above posted log file?

- margro - 2011-05-29

Nope, this is not a debug log. Please enable debug logging under settings in XBMC.

- powermarcel10 - 2011-05-29

Ow oké.. Wel, I have enabled the debug option, and this is all there is Confused Do you know what I am doing wrong? I'm sure i'n looking in the right folder: C:\Users\Marcel\Appdata\XBMC, but there is no file names; "xbmc.log"

if you enable debugging in the ui, it'll show the location of the log file on screen.
