Ubuntu 11.04, eHome receiver, harmony 880 - Diviance - 2011-06-07 Currently running the newest, up to date copies of Ubuntu, LIRC and XBMC. Problem is that I can't for the life of me get this thing to recognize any buttons from my Harmony remote. irw sees nothing, xbmc sees nothing. Doesn't seem to matter what I tell the Harmony the device I am trying to control is. Currently trying MCE Keyboard and MCE Remote. Receiver is an eHome Transceiver made by TopSeed. The particular one is in the configuration files for lirc. Receiver works normally under windows and red LED goes off in response to button presses on Harmony 880. LIRC is configured for Windows Media Center Transceivers all. Having no luck with any walkthroughs I have found so far on here. dmesg output Code: [ 10.621218] IR RC6 protocol handler initialized /proc/bus/input/devices output Code: I: Bus=0003 Vendor=1784 Product=0008 Version=0101 Any other information needed to help me figure this out? I have to head to work in a minute for a few hours, but I will be back in less than 5 hours. Please let me know if you know what I should do or what other info I should post when I get home. Please be as detailed as possible, I can find my way around linux easily enough but I don't know a massive amount. |
