I have trouble with MPC-HC, full screen don't work (program brutaly stop), so, the only way i can play video with it produce tearing, and, i've already add it as an alternative player for xbmc, but problem is that my remote/keys didn't work anymore after.

Finaly tested DSPlayer... Too bad there is too much subtitles issues. All the test files i used to check subtitles have failed rendering at one point or another, but no crash or freeze, only incorrect behavior/display (or even sometime no display at all !).
Being able ot use Haali splitter allow me to see linked op/ed file finaly working on something else than mpc-hc, and using ffdshow, 10bits play was perfect.
Just have to wait update of ffmpeg for 10bits, or revival of dscodec.
Thanks Owing for this build wich finaly allowed me to test DSPlayer.

Hi,
first, thanks for the merge....my htpc would not be so perfect without it!
Just a question about auto refresh rate changing: I have a gt430, and dvdplayer is perfectly able to switch resolution (24p, 50p, 60p), but dsplayer can't.
In the settings menu, refresh rate change is checked, but nothing happens, my pc stays on current refresh (and it only happens with dsplayer, not xbmc default one).
I resolved using reclock vbscript, but sometimes it misses movie fps....
Could someone help me, please?

DSPlayer is no longer being developed !
Everything in the link you posted is possible except madVR which is a video renderer not to mention that thread is pretty much useless to anyone with ATI card
In any case the difference between madVR and EVR + Scaler is minimal at best

1. Why are you using ffdshow for subs? You could try opening a video in XBMC and then open the OSD->Audio and Subtitle Settings and uncheck "Enable Subtitles" and then set as default for all videos.
2. Probably because you are not using XBMC's built in audio system when you're using DSPlayer.

If i uncheck "Enable Subtitles",then i do not have subtitles and you forget that i am Greek and i need the subtitles.

its all good bro no biggy i guess ill be using an external player hooked with xbmc for a longer time then it would seem xD
since its NOT just a marginal difference between evr+ and madvr
either you have bad eye sight and need some glasses or you must be blind no offense xD
here this might be of interest to you itll show you the difference
heres a quote from a member over at doom9 forums:

there ya go and to me it actually is more than just the better frame playback, the losless quality, all these things make it VERY essential to media enthusiasts like us

The strange is that in very very few movies i do not have subtitles at all.

Weird, after this last download and installation, i'm experiencing a strange issue. Just to know if any of u went through the same, or is it just me.
The thing is, when i watch a movie, if i STOP the movie (via Keyboard stop key, or via OSD menu key), the movie indeed stops, but starts automatically again. And the process is neverending!! I'm forced to close the program and reopen it.

I use DSplayer with an old PC to be able to use CoreAVC to decode 1080p with ease. However, I use it with Plex Media Server with the Plexbmc plugin.
Streaming AVI and MKV works fine, but the Plex plugins do not play properly.
I believe I might be able to fix this with editing playercorefactory.xml but I have not succeeded yet. Obviously I could set Plexbmc to use SMB instead of HTTP and just use the playercorefactory.xml from page one of this thread. But I don't want to depend on SMB shares. Streaming directly from the Plex Media server works great. And the other machines that dont depend on DSplayer work great will both film and plugins.
Hope someone could help me out with a custom playercorefactory.xml

I'm using DSPlayer for mkv playing without any issue.
I tried playing index.bdmv or .mpls file without success: I tried lavfilter as source/splitter and several other ones...but no luck.
Has anyone successed it?
