Which is the way to search with diacritics?
In every search when i use diacritics result nothing found.
I use android Kodi 18.4.
Will be implement to search the tags?

Hi,

I have enabled to search also for actors and artists. So when I put in a name as a search criteria the global search will show me results for actors (in films) and artists (in music). But it does not find the artists in musicvideos. Am I doing something wrong or does someone know how to fix or workaround this?

I can't seem to get global search to return results for actors in TV Shows.
Whenever I search for an actor name it only returns movies and never any TV Shows.
I double checked the settings but to no luck Confused

.
I am using Kodi Leia and add-on version 8.0.11.

It only searches regular actors at the TV Show level, not the episode level. So if you have guest actors appearing in an episode, they won't be found.

Thanks for the quick reply, but even the regular actors don't come up..
I tried re-installing the add-on and various different skins but still NO TV Shows come up at all.

Have you enabled the correct settings? IIRC Actors is disabled by default

globalsearch currently only supports movie actors.
i'll add support for tv show actors in a future version.

I Use playlists to separate my 4k and 1080p library. Is there any way that we can separate the search results for the 2 playlists . since the default SEARCHDEFAULT gives both the 4k and 1080p version together and cant differentiate. is it possible?

globalsearch can only retrieve items from the database.
it has no access (and shouldn't have) to any files on your system like playlists.

Then any way that the search can differentiate between the 4k and 1080p movies? since both versions will come up during search

Ok thanks. the main problem is that I use strm files. so the resolution does not come up. guess there is no solution for me Sad
