Resizing videos on xmbc - velt - 2011-09-03

Hi everyone, I got an apple tv 2 running XMBC, yesteday i was watching a 720p movie. Of course because of the format of the movie i had the black lines on top and on bottom of the video.
In my PC i use media player classic, all i have to do i stretch the movie.

I know is an issue with the encoding, some 720p movies i got fullscreen and others i got the black space on top and bottom.

I was wondering if there is some option for playback in a stretch mode or something.

It's not an encoding issue. Some movies have a wider aspect ratio than others. XBMC supports both zooming and stretching (stretching will distort the video, so avoid that and just use zoom) in the on-screen-display video options. While playing back the video, hold down play on the remote and select video options.
