New metro homescreen is now on github! Enable it under settings -> skin -> home. You may need to restart XBMC after that so watch list will load.
Globalsearch is working but unfinished and I have work on the pictures tile. I added a multiimage control there but that slows everything down so I have to think of something else.
Please report bugs etc. if something isn't working or performance is very bad.

Black you've really outdone yourself this time!
There's afew issues i'm experiencing though;
I'm seeing a much longer loading time in xbmc (showing the spinning circles in the middle), maybe 4 or so times longer, even when using the old homescreen.
If I move between the home panels quickly the animation gets all screwed up and jumps randomly around the panels.
For some reason new moves and new tv shows don't display any images until I select them and start to scroll through, then they all appear.
Other than that it's Great!

Wow, just beautiful.
Here are my two comments
- fast scrolling looks weird (could be my shitty remote)
- an option to use the white background overlay throughout the skin would make it more consistent

just thought of a great idea for the music page, instead of having the most recently added tracks on the right have an option to list the most recently played tracks. would be good for people who only get albums because when you add a new album it lists all the tracks from that album.
but this new homepage is class. i'll have a tinker with it later tonight. good work!

This is because now watchlist is loading on startup and if it's done, the homescreen will show.

This is the one and only downside of this custom implementation. It's impossible to change and you have to live with it. I could add reversible="false" to the animation but that would cause other weird effects if you quickly switch back and forth between two panels.

Spotlight are simply random movies & tv shows and ongoing tv shows is the watchlist script (on deck feature from plex).

I'd been playing with the watchlist in refocus and didn't experience loading times anywhere near as long as these, any ideas?

Where about's is the animation located? I want to try it out with reversiable="false" to see if I prefer it's weird effects.

If I leave the home screen then return to it the images show, It's rather strange.

I did a quick test and reversible="false" doesn't work, there's nothing I could do about it for now. XBMC needs some kind of scroll container for this, a fixed grouplist would work maybe. If I would make the animation faster, from 500ms to maybe 200 or 300 (which is too fast imo), it will be better but still not optimal.
Watchlist loading times are as long as in all other skins but I've simply delayed the loading of the homescreen until watchlist loading is finished. The other skins don't do such a thing. It's for smooth animations and you instantly see everything.
Anyone else has problems with images not showing in the recently added lists?
