I'll think about dark+darker. I uploaded some icons + psd for the metro home screen custom items to github. Will also add an option for animating those.

I love this skin, I can write a full page here on how much it rocks but I'm gonna choose not to. The new metro style homescreen is amazing. I am wondering something though.

Where the fuck is the submenus for movies and tv shows?! I hope you're thinking of including those in some awesome way because that's basically why I use XBMC in the first place.

Hope to here back from you on this! ;D

My Pictures panel on the home screen remains blank. How do I get this to work?

black`s said that this part needs work to be done

We could experiment putting an icon on top of each label in the horizontal menu. An added indication for the visually impaired. It would make the home screen look more different then Metro.

What happened with the rounded corners on each panel? It looked slick in the preview image (http://f.cl.ly/items/0U1h0Q3Q3A3k2T0W0I3C/xp1080home.jpg)

Cheers,

Nuno
PS: I think this UI could scale for more panels the the one presented. If there was a way we could make XBMC plugins register their own panels through some kind of API ...

This skin looks amazing. Thanks for the work so far. Looking forward to the final release. Was wondering if anyone else has manged to get the artist slideshow to work instead of the music visualisation?

@nbplopes
Rounded corners = inefficient, i.e. on the settings panel I would need to have 5 focus images instead of 1. I could add it but it isn't necessary and keeps things a little simpler.

@frellAn
Submenu is on my list.

hi, very good job for this skin ! now others seems very old school to me compared to this one !

it work pretty well but i have some questions :

How can i change the shortcut to an addon where there is the "+" sign once i set the shortcut ?

For the ongoing tvshow, how i can get the poster ? i have already the poster.jpg in the tv show folder but it does not appear on the menu

Sorry for bad english

- ederson - 2012-01-09

you can change the shortcut at the skin settings (sorry i don`t remember the exact path)

- mclog - 2012-01-09

Path is:

Settings > Skin > Home > Manage Custom Home Panels

Makes sense,

@`Black: Have you tried the Ubuntu Condensed font available here.
It is really similar to the xp condensed font and freely redistributable.

- `Black - 2012-01-09

PT Sans Narrow seems to be not bad. Will check if I could find something better but that could be a replacement.

- ederson - 2012-01-09

couldn`t you just use plain old Arial so i won`t have problems with greek text ? Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin (just kidding .... )

Quick Sand looks good to me: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/Quicksand
