Solved the issue. I had a newer version of the random items script which was throwing an error for some reason only resulting in 4 random items being generated. I've rolled back to an earlier version and now everything is fine.

This is the conversion from upper/lower case internally...
black has created a Home.xml and your openelec is case-sensitive and needs a home.xml...
In that point it gets converted...
