Fanart.tv doesn't need a bazillion queries to it's severs every time someone adds a new tv show/episode/movie. Completely unnecessary. AD used to run on startup and it was disabled for just this reason.

Is there a setting/option that can store artwork to TV shows local folder automatically? or does it just scrape them remotely and store them into the Thumbs Cache?
e.g, when selecting auto mode, it will store extrafanart, logo, clearart into local folder but not poster, or seasonXX-poster. Only when you select GUI mode will it store the art to the local TV show folder.

for disc art for individual seasons, i assume just to drop the disc.png file u wanna use for each season into that season's folder?

Hi everybody,
I hope some could help me out with a strange AD issue not downloading clearart, logo and disc.
My main system was working very well. Now since a couple of days it want not download the discart when I start AD (doesn't matter if from apps or from the movie info).
It is Frodo 12.3 with Aeon Nox 4.0.9 and Artwork Downloader 12.0.22 on german language.
If I try in the movie info a manual scan then I get the list when I can choose the cd-art and can download the disc picture, so actually it is functioning, just not automatically.
Now I tried on my work pc a clean install of Frodo 12.3, installed Aeon Nox, put some movies and series in a new temp folder and started a scan.
The movies where scraped right but as AD started, just poster and fanart (incl. extrafanart and extrathumb) will be downloaded. No clearart, no logo, disc.
If I try a manual scan in the movie info over the GUI mode then I only get poster and fanart listed ... Looked again on the main pc and there I still get the comlete list, so it is not the internet connection.
To double check started a scan on the series and there are all logos and cleararts, so can someone help and tell where is the problem or what I'm doing wrong?
I also tried w/o skin, just AD and looked into the db but same again.

Hi, I started using XBMC recently and I have some trouble to get all artwork for a movie. I'm not sure where is the problem. The movie tested was The Shawshank Redemption.
In first try no logo, disc, cleart were downloaded, screenshot:

Why? Checking Fanart.tv website all images are available: http://fanart.tv/movie/278/the-shawshank-redemption/
The IMDB id is correct on TMDB website.

fixed, was an issue with imdb ids that didn't affect tmdb ids

Is this cached in xbmc / AD? If yes how long to wait for next scan?
Cause both of my xbmc still not downloading / showing up yet.

delete commoncache.db from your userdata (wiki) folder and try again

thank you. found out is in the common cache plugin db in the time you answered me.
Is there a way to have fall back from bluray to dvd for disc art?
The file name is tagged as BDRiP and as in the wiki it should get the bluray disc art. Isn't it?
I just updated the log on pastebin. As you see it will not download cause doesn't match preferred disctype: dvd

dvd or bluray is decide on video resolution not on filename.
xbmc doesn't use filename either for this so I don't either.

ok, I can accept that, but why on the wiki at point 7.3.2 is described AD is looking for the file name? Only if the tag is not found, then (as under 7.3.3) it will look for resolution. Maybe I understand it wrong?
And is there a possibility (or plans) for fall back or force a disc type?
