since we have to start somewhere.. i'll start with the most obvious question:
did you click on location 1 before you started typing?

if not, please do. a keyboard dialog will pop up and you can start typing there.

k, i'll need a debug log then. if you could follow these steps:
1. enable debuglogging in xbmc. (settings > system > debugging)
2. enable logging in the weather addon (settings > weather > - settings > advanced options)
3. restart xbmc and wait a minute
5. go to weather settings and click onthe 'location 1' setting
4. upload the contents of your xbmc.log file to xbmclogs.com and post the url here

BTW, I have needed to force quit XBMC every time I have tried to quit it during last two or three days. This time was no exception.

the weather addon doesn't seem to be running at all...

could you temporary rename this folder /Users/Eetu/Library/Application Support/XBMC/addons/
restart xbmc and try again?

this will start xbmc with confluence and without any other additional addons,
just to rule out one if your installed addons is causing issues.

first thing i would do is upgrade to frodo 12.1
we had a bug in one of the rc builds that caused issues like this.

if upgrading doesn't work, please report back.

most likely candidate for your issue: script.randomandlastitems
