32 bit version of ember? - bdee1 - 2011-12-14

I am new to xbmc and I just came across this tutorial about how to use ember to clean up your media library for use with xbmc.

Problem is that I cant seem to find he 32 bit version of ember anywhere. Anyone know where I can get it?

You can also try my new version at http://ember.purplepig.net/. I'm trying to rekindle development of Ember and this is my latest release.

after posting this i discovered that it isn't really being supported anymore (aside from bodrick release which i will definitley try). so are people still having success with ember? are there other similar tools like this that other people are using?

I just tried to run Ember Media Manager.exe from your release and i get an error that says "The type initializer for 'EmberAPI.Master' threw an exception." and it won't launch.

I am using windows 7 business 32 bit and the x86 version of you of you ember release.

You probably need a .NET framework..

Nope, most likely its a dll problem, quite possible since I'm developing on a 64bit machine, I need to test the 32bit version on my VM. Let me check to see whats going on and I'll keep you posted.

Hey guys, any news on this? I'd love to run the new versions on my MacBook with VMWare, however on my 32bit Win XP I also get the same error as mentioned above Sad

Just tried out the old 32-bit one under the link above - same problem. Odd

You need .Net Framework 3.5
