@jank:
Please install gdb and let it crash again.

Here you are: http://pastebin.ca/2200241
thanks

@jannk:
No idea, sorry. You could open a bug with opdenkamp. You can try to enable debug logging, perhaps we can see more.

RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - jannk - 2012-09-02

even more detailed log: http://pastebin.ca/2200246
what would be the best place to report it? (still can be my configuration issue, I admit :-) )

still actual ?

[i][i]"Know problems:
- fglrx driver seems to have problems with suspend/resume (not our fault)
see workaround at end of post
- fglrx doesn't support HD audio(DTS HD/MA) yet"

@jannk seems the same as https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons/issues/6
report it there

Does anybody know if libCEC is included in the latest build?

Thanks.

libcec is included in all builds

RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - aria - 2012-09-03

Hi.
When I start a xvid/mp3 file the sound is fine for a few seconds and then changes to a buzzing noise.
All this started when I updated to wsnipex git20120902 xbmc-xvba-testing. It's still there with
2:12.0~git20120903.1106-d550f48-0precise.

When I activate debugging mode the sound plays just fine through the whole xvid/mp3 file and when I turn debugging off it appears again.

Hi there,
I am silent reader since I bought my fusion 350 plattform half a year ago. First of all thank you for your great work and your incredible efforts!!!!! I noticed with each new version continous improvements. But now the newest update of xbmc-xvba broke something in my installation.
I am using tvheadend 2.99.53.4502158 (the one of pulse eight) together with xbmc-xvba and a sundtek dvb stick.
I noticed that the new version (30.08) of xbmc comes with a new version of the pvr addon (1.10).
This version has severe problems with audio streams. Some streams have strange names (a number after the name) and some do not play at all. I rolled back to the previous version I found on my hdd (270712) and everything was OK again. This version still ships with the pvr addon version 1.0.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - wsnipex - 2012-09-04

please report pvr addon problems here:
https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons/issues?sort=updated&state=open

check if there already is an issue open thats the same or similar to yours and provide as much detail as possible, specially a full debug log.

RE: Howto Install XBMC PVR Xvba for AMD/ATI Radeon and Fusion GPUs - carsten89 - 2012-09-06

I switched to xbmc-xvba-testing last week. Since a few days, I have a little audio bug (which wasn't present directly after switching to testing).

Some Videos have audio distortions that were not present previously. Also, when playing the same video over and over again, the distortions happen at different times.
The frequency of the distortions increases with "complexity" of the file (Full-HD mkv files have distrotions every 20-30 seconds, plain SD avi files barely show any).
Depending on the Audio output settings, the distortions either take the form of a total dropout of the audio (when AC3, DTS and AAC are enabled and the Audio output is Optical/Coax or HDMI). They take the form of awkward and extremely loud noise (with the original audio still audible in the background, but somewhat distorted) when these options are disabled (or the Audio output is Analog).
Performing any playback action (pause & play or switch audio tracks) immediately restores the audio back to normal.
Also, after playing around with the options mentioned above, the bug occurs more frequently (and also in "low-complexity"-files) until I reboot.
When playing music, the audio works perfect.

You can find my /home/xbmc/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log here: http://de.pastebin.ca/2201741
The actions performed were: Startup - play music - play high-complexity video file - wait for distortion to appear several times - play music again.

I hope this helps.
Regards,
Carsten

Hi all,

after the latest update of xbmc from PPA (xbmc-xvba: 2:12.0~git20120830.1450-5303560-0precise) the uPnP server does not correctly work anymore.

The uPnP server is recognized, I can choose between Music and Videos Library, but the Video library is empty. Also the nodes (Title, Actors, ...) are not displayed.
Music library is truly empty, but I can browse through the different nodes.

Do you confirm this behaviour?
Also: it seems that the log file does not display info about external connections to the uPnP server, is it correct?
