Buffering is not allways a sign of network problems. It also happens when the CPU is maxed out and there is simply no ponys available to handle the network code. ATV2 is really hard on the limit at the moment (especially when using ios5 which hits the CPU hard by itself already). I know this is annoying and what not.
But we have to take what we get...
