login:xbmc
password:blank

Yes. That's for xbmc. Then you enter xbmc. But there is also an option to login as xbmcbuntu and openbox
What are the passwords for those users? Because it ain't "xbmc"

I'm running from USB because I want to checks/ test somethings before installing it.

On the live disk the user is xbmc and the password is blank for BOTH sessions, ie either the xbmc session or the xbmcbuntu session. They are not different users they are different sessions. Like being offered the option of kde or gnome.

Thank you for clearing this up. I'm missed the fact that you had to enter a login name. I thought I choose it from the list and just enter the password

Doh! Maybe this will help future noobs aswell. But I have the feeling that I'm the only one Smile

Yes it is a little confusing. I wonder if the devs would consider putting the login info in a big dialog box or banner on the login page?

oke, so... here's the interesting question. (And since I'm a novice user i am already familiar with this program, and used it under default circumstances.)

Would it be possible to login with Nomachine to the xbmcbuntu (desktop) session while the system itself is in xbmc session? Or does this make no sense at all?

that would be freaking awesome!
