RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Now with Music Video support - artistwantab - 2017-06-28

All sorts of problems.

Recently tried scraping and the folder and Title is renamed without the "title" for example.... The Jackal (1997) (1080) now .....(1997) (1080)

This error...in Plot.

This movie could not be identified, or IMDB is un-available. To add the movie manually, either go to the movie edit page and select "Change Movie", then select the correct movie, or change movie scraper to XBMC-TMDB and Rescrape Movie.

Plus lots of other stuff missing.

Deleted and Reinstalled Latest Build. First tried moving "settings folder" then a clean install imputing all settings manually.

BTW...Wont scrap with search correctly anymore

Same results.

Tried rebooting. Cleaned Cache

I am stuck.

It seems the XBMC scraper is the issue.

RE: Media Companion 3 beta's - Now with Music Video support - vbat99 - 2017-06-29

Another change to the TMDB scraper has knocked it out again.

I have found the issues and created another fix for this.
Download this file and extract the folders into Media Companion\Assets\Scrapers folder. TMDBScrapers.zip

Allow it to overwrite the files and folders in both
metadata.themoviedb.org
&
metadata.common.themoviedb.org

Is the broken scraper also why 80-90% of my movies come up as Moviename [1985] (1901) - and no match. Both on IMDB and TMDB scrapers :-(

EDIT: TMDB fix seems to work.. Will IMDB be getting one too?

EDIT2: Nope... TMDB produces 50% with -ERROR at bottom of screen....

Apologies, there is a second fix file that needs to be downloaded, from here: TMDBScrapers.zip

Just tested with this and TMDb scraping is working correctly.
But, I see some issue with IMDb scraping, will have to look into that very soon.

This 50% failure to scrape by IMDb will be fixed in the next release of Media Companion. This requires a MC code change as one of the search engines is returning slightly different results.

Thanks VBAT, really quick response. I don't often re-scrape stuff but due to some problems involving all my NFO and artwork getting wiped I had to re-do ALL my movies. Forgot how much I rely on MC!! It seems to be a labour of "love" for you!! :-)

Hey there,

I've upgraded from 3.655 to 3.675 (and then 3.676) and I can't get the runtime info to save into the nfo. Both 75 and 76 are setup the same as 55. With the newer version of MC I only get 1 sec in the duration field. The setup uses the "scraper" radio button (not file). I go back to 55 and the runtime saves correctly.

Always appreciate the efforts here. MC rocks!

I did wonder.
Please check this issue on MediaCompanion site, and download the mediainfo.zip. Replace the 32 or 64bit dll in your version of Media Companion (depending on if your running 32 or 64 bit version of MC)
