You should be less confident about this.
I didn't and don't see how this would be possible at all (Kodi is not reaching out to the database when refreshing a movie), but you were just soooo confident that I wasted 10 mins trying to recreate the issue. I failed.
I am also wondering why do you need to refresh already scraped movies so often that this becomes a real pain, but I let this go.
@Karellen

I wanted to update because the age rating for a movie was previously unavailable in my language.

I create an overview to understand.

I am creating a database with version 5.4.5

example:
Pirates of the Caribbean Set

My settings version 5.4.5:
https://paste.kodi.tv/etupevewef
everything OK

update to version 5.4.6
after the update I have these settings:
https://paste.kodi.tv/ekecuvejit

I correct everything back to my language and then have this setting:
https://paste.kodi.tv/puyuleworu

Now I am updating and I have English as a description.

New movies that have been scanned with version 5.4.6 are displayed correctly.

By the way, the same problem occurs with "The Movie Database (Version 5.2.6)". just tested it.

it couldn't be more precise, took some time

RE: Universal Movie Scraper - Karellen - 2021-01-12

Ok, thanks.

All you have done is updated the default settings in the scraper.

A scraper cannot edit the database. Any changes you make to the default scraper settings only affect new sources you add.

So your existing Sources still have the old settings. Change the scraper settings in 5c as shown in the image...

What do you mean by "update"? I mean how you are trying to update an already scraped movie? You mean by running "Update Library" from the library side blade menu?

If you haven't changed anything then of course there is a problem. Update your settings as I explained to you in my last post.
Why would you completely ignore my last postHuhHuhHuh

didn't ignore it. I had tested it but it didn't work. I probably forgot the ok button. now it works. but why is the setting no longer saved in \ userdata \ addon_data \? where is it stored now? Never had such problems, I've been using Kodi since 2015?

I already explained that in my post. But have a read of section 4 and it gives a bit more detail of why... https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:The_Movie_Database_Python

RE: Universal Movie Scraper - Karellen - 2021-01-13

@Fuchs2468

The reason this happened is that TheMovieDB changed from using two character country codes (fr) to four character country codes (fr-FR). Obviously this needed to be updated in the scraper.

I still tested a little. With the change from a 2-digit country code to a 4-digit country code, Kodi is treating the new version as a new "Movie Scraper". It is clear to me that the setting has to be changed for a new "scraper", but that one was not informed about the update is not so nice. Actually nothing has to be changed in the settings after an update.

I suspect that many people will also have this problem and are not active here in the forum and re-create their database out of sheer desperation.
