I do have two questions though :

1 - is it possible to have movie sets right on the home screen ?

2 - I want to customize homemenu for movies in the skin settings, however I can't enable options like new movies, genres, unwatched etc, they are not greyed out but my only option in the movie submenu is to click ok, and i just can't seem to select anything else. although things work just fine with tv shows or music. Is it just me or do you have the same problem? If so how do I solve this even if I have to edit files manually.

It is made like that by design, to keep the home screen as clear as possible.
Anyways, it is certainly possible. I will add a switch in the skin settings.

1 - Currently it is not possible. I do not use movie sets, so I did not include it. However, I will look into refocus retro how it has been implemented and hopefully I can add it to my mod as well.

2 - Indeed, it is a bug. It is happening the same here. I will fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.
