Do I understand correctly that RTMP streams aren't the same as TrueLive streams?
If so, then is there any chance to get TrueLive version of streams?

Hey fungus, I made the unofficial updates to the plugin. My changes aren't major enough to fork the project. Here's a patch that applies on top of the currently latest 2.8.1 release: http://ge.tt/3XC47GK1/v/0

Hey all, great job with the plugin!
I was just wondering: when listing live streams, is it possible to show which feed is which? (i.e. CBC, NBC, home, away, etc.) Right now I have to just guess and hope that I pick the one I want.
Also, I'm using 2.8.1. I tried 2.8.2 but wasn't a fan because it seems like there are more menus to navigate through, which is annoying because it takes a few seconds for the next menu to load.
Finally, which stream do you guys think is best? RTMP? Flash?

I don't think there is a way to know which thread is home/away.. I always guess (and usually guess wrong the first time), too. It would be convenient if there was some way to indicate which was which, or even if the Home feed was always listed first or something.
On my XBMC Linux box I've had the best luck using the iOS streams (I forget what they are called in the plugin).

Some feeds just don't work, giving the "one or more items failed to play" error. Sometimes I'll be forced to watch the away feed when I want the home feed.

New to the HS service, after two crappy years of GCL, and so far pleased with the streams quality and choices.
I haven't been getting the same error as described above (admitted only 2nd day of playing with this plugin)
The "issue" I'm having is when I try to pull up the live streams choices, nothing happens for up to 30 seconds. On the first day of trying this plug, I selected that menu choice, got frustrated and walked away, and when I came back there was the list. OK! Great! But sometimes the list doesn't populate?
Also, there doesn't seem to be any stream detail like location? The names only designate HD or SD.
Regardless! This plugin is making my season. Thanks OP for the hard work, I'll browse a bit more through the thread, see if I'm missing critical info...

dazed - if there are a lot of games, it takes a long time for the plugin to retrieve the list. This is because the current plugin (2.8.1) pulls every game available across all leagues available through HS. Cooldude's update (2.8.2) is faster because you select which league you want first, which reduces the amount of games it pulls.

If I got the hockeystreams service, would this plugin allow for dvr playback on live streams? i.e. catching up to live streams from the beginning?
