RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - Mossy - 2013-05-08 I suspect the repository not installing on the Android is an Android problem, i.e. nothing I can do anything about. In any case I can't tell anything without debug logs (see first post). Also see my recent posts about Android and librtmp. RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - jonnyv - 2013-05-08 Hi I am having playback problems on my android device. All other add ons are still working fine When I click onto a video to watch it, a loading box pops up and then disappears and nothing happens. Is there a setting I may have over looked? Log is at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=17072 RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - Mossy - 2013-05-08 Thanks for the bug report. Your log shows an RTMP "handshake failure". The stock version of librtmp that is installed with XBMC on Android does not work with the videos on some websites. Android users may be able to use the plugin if they update librtmp to a newer version. See the librtmp page on my wiki for more information. The Android version in the librtmp - Help Thread is up to date, but other users have reported that that version doesn't work with the 4od website either. I suggest that you ask for help on the librtmp - Help Thread, someone there may be able to fix librtmp on Android. You should probably start by replacing your librtmp with the version from that thread, and then post a debug log of the problem on that thread. RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - _phk_ - 2013-05-09 I got recent librtmp.so.0 from redpenguin installed on my raspberry pi running raspbmc. I'm behind a smartdns service, ps3.channel4.com is just working fine though. this is the error I get: Code: 10:51:30 T:2938840128 NOTICE: FALLBACK None : 'u'self: <httpmanager.HttpManager instance at 0x28ee238>'' RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - jonnyv - 2013-05-09 (2013-05-08, 23:34)Mossy Wrote: Thanks for the bug report. Thanks Mossy Still getting same thing so I will ask on that thread for so help. I'm having same problem with a few add ons also. RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.11 - Mossy - 2013-05-09 @_phk_ Looks like librtmp is having connectivity problems, curious that it works in a browser though. Does it work in XBMC on a PC? If not, does it work if you update the version of librtmp on the PC? RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - hasselhof - 2013-05-18 Hi Mossy, thanks for the watched status feature, only just found it. RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - sevenofone - 2013-05-18 I am running the 4od streams fine on an android. There is an strange issue where I have a per enact 1 inch bar at the bottom of the screen though which is translucent but distorted. Doesn't happen on my pc just on my gbox running the accelerated pivos m3 version of XBMC. It doesn't occur on any other add on apart from the OD UK ones, iPlayer, ITV player and 4OD. Have you ever heard of anything like that? RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - _phk_ - 2013-05-19 @Mossy: it's working fine here now, when enabling the option RTMP via 443 RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - Big_Daddy - 2013-05-22 Hi, have been a happy user for some time, I'm, using XBMC on windows 7 and the original Xbox. 4OD on Windows works fine but the old xbox has started playing up. Here is my debug any help would be most appreciated. http://pastebin.com/M7cZeBJq RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - Mossy - 2013-05-23 @ sevenofone - Nope never of anything like that. Neither have I heard of anyone running the plugin successfully on Android. Is the XBMC build that you use available for other Android devices? @ Big_Daddy - You'll have to take that up with the xbmc4xbox guys, may just be a matter of getting their latest version. http://www.xbmc4xbox.org.uk/forum/ RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - mjb1 - 2013-06-06 Hi Just reporting that I am using 4oD v3.0.11 on an RPi openelec platform behind http proxy and I am seeing the 'cannot show categories error, proxy working fine on other addons. I'm running a gbox midnight m3 and just installed the latest android build from their site and its fine, also have run the j1nx Linux build and fine apart from the distortion right at the bottom. Must be the amlogic HW acceleration. How is the 4 OD different from other streams I wonder? RE: [RELEASE] 4oD (Video) Addon - UK Channel 4 on demand. v.3.0.12 - Mossy - 2013-06-06 @mjb1 Post a debug log and I might be able to do something about that for you. @sevenofone Some device manufacturers customise XBMC to work on their devices. This customisation is probably what gets the 4od plugin working on your device when it doesn't work for other Android devices. Could also be responsible for the problem you are seeing. So some combination of 4od's website/streams, XBMC for Android and possibly Pivos M3 customisation are the factors involved.
