My sample of one H67M-ITX RMA'd out of one purchased is probably not enough for me to comment
. However, I'd get the Z68M-ITX given my customers' track record with both motherboards.
I'd also look at the H77M-ITX and Z77E-ITX to compare.

can you post your experiences with Openelec once you have your machine up and running? I'm looking at doing something very similar to you.
Are you planing on including BR playback?

I will add my experiences to my build log thread tonight probably.
I have it fully working now. With all audio working correctly inc menu sounds etc and bitstreaming to reciever (not tried HD audio yet as I have no content that has HD audio - unsure if my hardware can bistream HD audio? Haven't looked into it because it wasn't a requirement of mine when purchasing)
Video is all working fine for me, no issues at all.
I have zero Linux experience (other than messing about with a few Ubuntu live CDs) and I have managed to have a fully working openelec htpc in a day or two with nothing more than editing a few .conf files.
I just used the openelec wiki as a guide.
If I can do it anyone can.
