Scraping music for me is hit or miss. I have a huge music library. 31,000+ tracks.
My current complaint is that sometimes, when you provide the Album ID to the nfo form and then scrape, often it blanks out all the data that was already there and correct.
It makes as much work as it helps. Also, it doesn't matter what time of day you try to scrape, often it comes back with successfully scraping what it already had scraped earlier, in other words, it scraped the artist, but doesn't often match any of the albums, and when you scrape again, you still get the artist but no albums. And when I help it by giving it the album id, it returns the favor by deleting what was there and correct. I have too much work to do on this library and I am tired of it wrecking as much as it fixes. I am running 2.4.2-1

all comments concern music files only

@WarpLover

I am assuming you are using MediaElch to eventually scrape into Kodi.

Have a read of this guide, paying particular attention to Music File Tagging. It may be of some value to you.

Yes, this is the mediaelch thread and I mentioned the version at the end.
I use musicbrainz for the tagging. But I never said I had trouble with tagging. I am building nfo's.

Ok, I'll leave you to it then.

Every TV show I create with MediaElch has the same problem: Kodi doesn't differentiate them. If I create Series 1 and Series 2, and MediaElch recognizes that these are distinct series, Kodi will still combine the episodes of both series into a single listing. I've crawled through every .nfo file I can find, and I can't figure out why this is happening.

That's a setting in Kodi to "Flatten" the directory. Basically, instead of listing the Seasons (Series) separately, it combines them into a single list.

But I am not using the British form of the word "series." I'm literally referring to Kodi flattening, as an example, The Captain America Film Serial with the Dick Tracy Film Serial (since tvdb doesn't allow film serials [usually] I've had to manually create them in MediaElch).

It looks like I managed to prevent this from happening by putting something in the <id></id> field, though I originally thought that was only for accessing tvdb.

Really, as I just found it by searching in TheTVDB...
https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=135841&seasonid=175601&lid=7

https://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=136921&seasonid=178581&lid=7

Maybe try not to be too specific when you search in TheTVDB...

Those were just example titles my man... I'm working with about two hundred serials, most obscure as fuck. I thought I would use popular brands to illustrate the point...

Is it possible to bulk add/remove tags? Say for example I wanted to strip the tags completely from 100 movies and then replace them with different ones... any way to do except one at a time?

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - Toxic Man - 2017-12-20

BUG?
Right click a title and choose "Open NFO", the MediaElch directory opens, not the title's NFO file.

The adult scrappers aren't working either (TMDB and ADE, don't have a passion account to test).  I've enable the Adult flag for TMDB but no hits on any title are returned, though I can use the web site and find them without a problem.

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - huttdes - 2017-12-21

Is the music scraper dead again? Tried to scrape cdart and it told me no images found. I went to fanart.tv and it is most certainly there...

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - huttdes - 2017-12-24

I've noticed that the actor images being scraped for movies look like total shit... basically because they are 1kb in size and smaller than a postage stamp... what's the deal with this?
I've even checked IMDB directly and the images for the actors are MUCH larger.... where are these useless files coming from?

Things were changed on the music scraper side, so older versions wouldn't work either.
There is a fix on the app forum webpage :
http://community.kvibes.de/topic/show/universal-music-scraper-broken-fix
last release from the author is july 2016 so unfortunatly i dont have much hope to see a fixed rlz soon...
i did modified the files and spent much hours trying to figure how to make an .exe file from it
i tried many times and i still have an error while compiling...
so i added the modified files on my website if someone here happens to be able to compile it :
