Hi, sorry, but there isn't. MediaElch never used their latest API version, but I tried updating MediaElch to their latest version and found too many issues besides the licensing stuff that I decided not to support it anymore.
If you send me a private message on the Kodi forum with your operating system (Windows/Linux), I can see what I can do.

When loading information(mainly for movies) is there any way to automatically filter out everything after the year?
99.9% of the movies i am loading info for are of the

Name (year) extra info about supplier and format

variety and I need to manually remove all of the info after the year.
Is there anyway to get the program to ignore or remove that extra stuff automatically?
Thanks for your time and program.
<me>

You mean to just strip everything after the year? i.e. the default movie name that is generated from the file / directory name? :-)
There isn't at the moment.

MediaElch v2.10.2 - Benzar

The next stable version 2.10.2 is here!

Blog Post: https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-blog/posts/mediaelch-v2.10.2/
Documentation: https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/download.html

What's new?
We’ve fixed many bugs, including things such as unsorted language lists, dark and light theme issues, or scrapers that failed to load some details.

Besides the regular bug fixes, some small new features made it into this release as well: A new TV scraper for “fernsehserien.de” has been added. It is a German-only website for TV shows, seasons and episodes.

Most changes were internal: MediaElch now requires CMake 3.15 or later for building. And we no longer depend on QML/QtQuick, meaning the package sizes for macOS and Windows have decreased by a few MiB.

Please refer to the blog post for more details. :-)

Where can I download MediaElch?
Stable releases can be downloaded from https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/download.html
We have a download-mirror on https://mediaelch-downloads.ameyering.de/releases/v2.10.2/
This is my own server. So please be patient if the server is not reachable. :-)

For Linux distributions we provide repositories for Ubuntu (.deb) and openSUSE (.rpm).
For Windows we also provide a Chocolatey package.
The repositories will take a few days to get the latest version.

Where can I get help?
For general question use Kodi forums, e.g.

@bugwelle - This latest version is not working for me. When I click on an artist, or album it returns nothing. If I go back to the previous version, then it works well. Any ideas as to what can be going on here?

Shedrock

Thanks for reporting. What system do you use and which Version of MediaElch have you downloaded? e.g. "Windows 10" and MediaElch v2.10.2 for "Windows 10 and later" or "Windows 7/8"?
I tested it quickly on all major systems and it worked for me. Just tested it on Windows 10 again and artists appear. Which version did you downgrade to? v2.10?

Andre

I am using Windows 10 & MediaElch v2.10.2 for "Windows 10. I had to downgrade to version 2.10.0 for it to work.

Not sure when stopped working. In v2.10.2 "TV Tunes" isn't working. Older version still are. Just reporting

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2023-07-08

@shedrock The Universal Music Scraper had a bug. It's now fixed. However, it shouldn't work in previous versions either. Nevertheless, the latest snapshot version (see https://mediaelch-downloads.ameyering.de/snapshots/ ) will fix this issue.

@PopcornLinux I guess you use the Qt5 version, correct? See https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/contributing/bug-reports.html#developer-information for how to check. The Qt6 version has fixed a lot of those UI issues, see https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/429#issuecomment-1312743005 for an example comparison.
Our linux versions do not come with Qt6 support out of the box. I plan to update our release script for the Ubuntu PPA for Ubuntu 23.04 and later: I want to use Qt6 there.
If you want Qt6 support, you have to build MediaElch yourself, see https://mediaelch.github.io/mediaelch-doc/contributing/build/index.html for guides.

@Kallita Thanks. Fixed it in the latest snapshot version.

@Wanderer189 It works for me. However, there is no good error reporting. If a TV show can't be found, you won't get notified. For example, "American Dad!" does not work. "American Dad" does. I've opened https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1605 to keep track of it.

Andre

I just tried the snapshot version for Windows 10 but it is still not working for me. It brings up nothing when I scrape an Artist, and/or Album.

You are right in regards to it not working in the previous version, but the thing is, when I scrape an artist, the info does get populated, but there is no scraping of the discography. I am not sure if that's what you meant by it's not working with Universal Scraper.

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - Kallita - 2023-07-09

re Original Name for movies
Still not working with 2.10.03
downloaded and installed the  Dev version but the original name is still not being scraped/saved
went through about 20 movies to test and nothing showed up in the "Original Name" section on any of them.
Windows 11<latest>
Sorry to be a pain.

RE: MediaElch - MediaManager for Mac/Linux/Win (with music library scraping) - bugwelle - 2023-07-09

@shedrock Ah, now I see. I didn't check for discography. I can confirm it. I've opened a new issue at https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1606 to keep track of it. I'll also need to add tests...

@Kallita You're not a pain, thanks for reporting! Smile
Do you use the "Custom Movie Scraper"? If so, which title scraper did you select? Do you have an example movie title that I can use to test? Smile

Andre

I noticed the "TV Tunes" no longer works but still does in older versions.

Also, it would be a VERY handy feature if you could make a "fanart" for movies like you can for episodes, JMO

Hi !
... is there a way to scrape images but not overwrite the already existing images during download ?
