great program so far, but how could i add network locations as source folders? am i missing something obvious?

Just mount them as network drive.
I also changed the file dialog in the upcoming version 1.2 but I need to check if directly adding network drives is working in Windows.

I just found out the hard way that MediaElch doesn't write the episodeguide tag to the tvshow.nfo file. I was trying to add The Wire DVD ISO's to my library but XBMC couldn't find them no matter what name I gave them. After searching I found out XBMC was looking for an episodeguidetag so it can download all the episodes, like this:

You're free to contribute and help improving with patches made by you, or compile the latest version on your own.
And you're also free to use your time, write your own media manager, give it away for free and let then people blame at you.
Short info for all others: I know I said the next version will come by the end of this week, but I'm too busy at the moment so it'll take another few days.

The new sort buttons in the movie list are great. But one thing let me freaked out: What have I done to make the movie titles in the list get red and cursive?! I haven't found anything about this in changelog or your blog entry.
