Have you enabled "Syn collection on library update or cleaning" (under Synchronize)?
Nm, I missunderstood. It should start syncing when manually launching trakt too, which it does for me.

Make sure you have re-entered your credentials correctly. The Idon should be Red with a K in it. If you don't have that icon you don't have the correct version.

I am running the same version of Kodi and am running the 2.3.2 trakt plugin but like yourself the watched episodes/movies are syncing but my collection is not updating. This is a pain when I add a new show as it is not showing up in my calendar which I use everyday for downloading new episodes.

Ok well at least we know it's a consistent issue :/
How does one go about reporting bugs? or providing logs?

The version you are running is the problem. I believe the upkeep on it has stopped by the original developer. Look within the last 3 pages and find a link to razze's github. Version 3.0 or higher from his github is what you should be using.

I thought it had an auto update? Is it not published on the XBMC appstore thing anymore?

I think you mean a rotated off center T for Trakt Tongue

Anyway with clarification gleamed in last few posts about Razzeee's fork being v3.0.0 @ https://github.com/Razzeee/script.trakt/tree/dev I have now removed traces of old version 2.3.1 on my Pi and installed the dev.zip from the Download ZIP link (dev.zip changelog.txt in dev.zip confirming currently v3.0.0)

Will give it a test on my Pi to my trakt account over next few days, thanks for all the work Razzeee :-)

Curious, why is a fork necessary? Appreciate the effort but wondering what's going on and why?

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - Razze - 2015-02-06

@all
headsup newest version has a bug in episode playcount sync and this leads to double, tripple [...] history additons, if you sync multiple times. Have to go to sleep now, will have a look tomorrow.

@AbRASiON
It's still work in progress. There are bugs to fix and things to improve. It will be merged and pushed whenever it's ready, but thats not now.

Be aware, it's not recommended, to use it with your main trakt account.

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - AbRASiON - 2015-02-06

What do you mean merged? As in your improvements will end up in the final product? Should I or shouldn't I switch to 3.0? :/

trakt.tv made changes to their systems (api) several weeks ago that left the last version of this add-on (2.3.2) severely handicapped, @Razze created a 'fork' of the original add-ons repository on github and took on the challenge of upgrading it to work with the new trakt.tv systems (api) to restore the lost functionality, this upgraded version is v3.0.0 and is only available through github at the moment, github is a software development tool so by definition any software still active there is in development

(2015-02-06, 04:26)AbRASiON Wrote: As in your improvements will end up in the final product?
if everything goes as planned the finished version of the add-on will be placed in a kodi repository for automated distribution when completed, in a perfect world v2.3.2 of the add-on will autoupdate to v3.0.0 (the upgrade underway) if you have it installed and auto-update of add-ons is enabled

there are several variables involved that could affect exactly how it happens, for instance there is a possibility that this upgrade effort may ultimately result in it being released as an altogether different add-on, all that stuff is up to @Razze afaik, regardless he has indicated previously that he intends to have it added to a kodi repository and @martinj has already indicated that if/when a working version arrives it can b added to the official kodi repository, not familiar with that process but i think its gonna b a while before we even reach that point, worst case u will have to install it just like any other add-on

with regard to wether u should use 2.3.2 or 3.0.0, i posted the quoted text below a couple pages back, including here again fyi,:

Quote:I take it there's still no stable update yet for the average user?

i would say there is definitely NOT a stable version ready for 'average' kodi users ('average' being a subjective term)

in my humble opinion (imho), it is best for the 'average' user to either avoid the add-on completely or stick with the last known working version (2.3.2) until a stable version of the upgrade (3.0.0) is released and distributed via the kodi repository

unless you are ready to deal with one or more of the following i would recommend against using the upgraded version of the add-on (v3.0.0):

1). you are comfortable working at the command prompt
2). you are capable of manually installing/removing kodi add-ons and modules
3). you are ready to deal with instability with little or no support (dev is busy making things work)
4). you are willing to risk damage to your collection on trakt.tv (watched status, collected on dates, etc.)

if not prepared for the above i would suggest either:

a). waiting for a stable version of the upgrade (v3.0.0)
b). continue using the last known working version (v2.3.2)
c). dont use either until the upgrade is completed

while v2.3.2 is definitely not completely functional there have been a few posts in this thread from people still using it, i dont know exactly what does and doesnt work in 2.3.2 but afaik your trakt account can be updated with all data once the upgrade is complete (assuming the information is maintained internally by kodi), if i am incorrect about this or if u know more about it please correct/clarify

either way u will want to watch here for an announcement regarding completion of the upgrade and its distribution via the kodi repository

just thought it might help in some wayUndecided

hope i wasnt too far off track, just trying to help clear things up, sorry if it was a waste of space

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - shaktoo - 2015-02-06

Another Bug for Dev Version 3.0 ( razze ) -----> I have tried fresh install & re install & stiil trakt is marking ALL my shows as watched ! I have re done all my watched lists manually , re installed a fresh version with a fresh trakt account and still on building up my collection it marks every single episode as watched ( except for the ones that I am currently watching of course).
I will be providing a log soon
Sad

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - mason - 2015-02-06

@shaktoo weird, I did exactly the same thing today. fresh kodi, addon, trakttv and for me it's working pretty well with this 'testsetup'

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - AbRASiON - 2015-02-06

Thanks for the replies, sorry for the dumb questions, didn't realise the original author had gone walkabout. Does anyone know, if I just wait, patiently - since Trakt 2.3.2 is working fine for my watched, my library will just 'fix itself' when 3.0 is out right?
I don't wanna risk entries on trakt, the library is at least a lower priority.

Feel free to use this one: https://github.com/tamland/trakt-sync/blob/master/fanart.jpg I tried my best recreating the background on trakt.tv

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - mason - 2015-02-06

Skilled... no, but why not use their header profile background? Not the best quality but it should provide some nice recognition...
