I finally got to a point where when I run the Trakt addon I no longer get anything scrobbling over. There's only one problem: out of the 946 shows in my library, only 740 were synced to my collection. Any ideas on what may be happening?
i might be able to help with some more info if you want to post a log

i think it should install manually or at the very least be available in the kodi repository under add-on libraries but...

need to know what version your running but in the meantime here is a link to the wiki in case you havent been there already:

http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Requests

the only other thing i could find in my quick search was a link to 2.4.3 under the frodo section, not sure if it can be used with any other versions but the link is below if you want to take a look:

http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/frodo/script.module.requests/

you might want to wait for smarter people to reply before installing the frodo version linked above, just sharing what i found

Seems maybe the trakt website gets too busy. Appears good at the moment, watching shows, I see the update so that's good, however, one issue I does have is as I mark things manually as watched, Its not being uploaded as watched on trakt. But something I am actually watching currently is uploading OK.

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - abmoraz - 2015-02-19

The new XBMC addon (both the version included with Frodo and the one from github project) are still not syncing libraries.

I've not had a movie update since december 8th (it tells me it has to sync 33 movies, but fails every time). In addition, it is not syncing my TV episodes either.

It *IS* scrobbling them, just not adding them to my collection. I enabled logging and get this message over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and... (you get the picture):

00:34:21 T:140387784029952 NOTICE: [trakt] [traktAPI] traktRequest(): (0) Request URL 'https://api.trakt.tv/user/library/shows/collection.json/b6135e0f7510a44021fac8c03c36c81a17be35d9/abmoraz/min'
00:34:21 T:140387784029952 NOTICE: [trakt] [traktAPI] __getData(): urllib2.Request(https://api.trakt.tv/user/library/shows/collection.json/b6135e0f7510a44021fac8c03c36c81a17be35d9/abmoraz/min)
00:34:21 T:140387784029952 NOTICE: [trakt] [traktAPI] __getData(): urllib2.urlopen()
00:34:21 T:140387784029952 NOTICE: [trakt] [traktAPI] traktRequest(): (0) Server Busy ({"status":"failure","error":"server is over capacity"})

I find it hard to believe that the API server is over capacity when it will take scrobble end-points just fine. Something seems to be broken with the library sync endpoint that is causing it to send out a false error message saying that it is over capacity.

https://github.com/Razzeee/script.trakt/tree/dev

no offense meant but if you havent done so already read the first post in this thread, it is working well but i must note that it is still in development, it has not been submitted to the kodi repository yet

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - bafforosso - 2015-02-19

@Razze: Thanks a lot for all your work on this add-on, didn't have time to test it thoroughly yet but just installed the dev version on my OpenElec 5.0.2 on ION and manual sync is working flawlessly, glad to have Kodi and trakt back in sync.
Will keep you posted if stumble upon any issue.

Kudos to you!

After update, when it tries to sync, I see lots of traktrequest server over capacity

I will regenerate if you need the whole entry, but that is the gist of it.

Should be fine if you just retry it.

No errors? Might want to try multiple times, could be timeouts, when that happens at a specific stage, we skip the rest of the sync.
Well, I'm sure you can figure it out soon! Don't worry Wink

Local files? OS, Kodi version, anything fancy?
Yes, local files always, downloaded previously, Android system in a minix X7 with custom ROM, Kodi 14.1 (version with pass-through hacked), transparency skin, and don't know exactly you mean with anything fancy... Shy

Here is a log file when I started up Kodi, launched Trakt 3.0 and let it do it's thing and then shut down. I don't even see any mention of Trakt in there.

Do you have Debug enabled in the trakt addon itself?

RE: [RELEASE] trakt.tv tv/movie scrobbler - dkplayaclub - 2015-02-19

No, I will try again a little later. I'm not currently at the PC that has Kodi on it. Thanks for the heads up Rob.

Maybe it is just me, but I don't see where it says in the first post to use the test and beta versions if you want it to work with the new trakt v2. I note this because I too am using the version from the repository, 2.3.1.
I was actually going to make a note that I thought a lot of peoples issues are related to the new API v2.

Regardless, I will pull down the test/beta version and try them out. Just curious, what is the difference between the two?

Check this https://github.com/Razzeee/script.trakt/tree/dev#creating-debug-logs
You will also need to enable the kodi logging itself

Basically it's too much to list.
Here are the main diffs:

NP. If the Debug is not enabled in the trakt, nothing will show in yout normal log....it has to be enabled in Trakt addon to show up in your log.

(2013-02-06, 09:13)rectifyer Wrote: Yeah that is probably it. It's fine to fail the first episode_tvdb_id check, but if the season/episode don't match on trakt then that will fail too. I think you're right that its using animedb's absolute ordering which doesn't match.

Hi, I refer to a very old post to explain my problem/request.
My library is splitted between TV Shows and Anime. The anime part uses AniDb Mod Scraper, which stores a different id (anidb id) for the show. This way the Trakt addon cannot match anything with its library.

By the way, should I choose to store the tvdb id when scraping my library with anidb Mod (which is possible), the result would be that "Show A" and "Show B" which are different shows on anidb but a single show on tvdb (season 1 and 2), would have the same id.
The consequence would be that all episodes from Show A would be scrobbled fine, but all the episodes from Show B would be again scrobbled like episodes from season 1, overwriting Show A.

Now, there is a complete xml file mantained by the developers of the scraper and the community (https://raw.github.com/ScudLee/anime-lists/master/anime-list-full.xml) which lists, for every anidb id, the corresponding tvdb id and season.
I can see how this is absolutely not prioritary, but I would like the developer to consider to implement a feature in this nice addon to have, when tvdb id is not matched, the scrobbler to check that list to bypass enterely the issue and link the show to the correct entry on trakt.
Today I decided to send this feature request both here and in the Artwork Downloader addon topic, since both addons are the only things I miss from my experience when watching anime instead of tv shows.
Thank you very much.
