Still experimental. According to Razzeee ratings are working again, scrobbling as well. Not sure about sync.
No sync yet, as stated.
And it's possible the working things will break again, so don't rely on it if I make more commits.

does anyone know a way to download the watched series/movies from trakt with alternative program because i cant wait for the plugin i just do fresh install (format my htpc) with kodi and i had mysql installation for watched episodes.. and makes me nervous.

You can contact trakt support, fairly certain you can get an export. Positive for VIP members (very reasonable donation). Pretty sure they will help anyone though, they're pretty awesome like that. May not get priority, really not sure.

How are you organising your collection, apart from all recent trakt issues, how do you have you configuration?
I don't understand the concept of collecting all your watched movies?
Why would you want to add all watched movies to the collection if you have already the watched status.
Shouldn't you keep only special/loved movies in your collection?
I love trakt, but some how I feel I'm not using it right?
Can you tell me about you configuration? (again, apart from the addon current issues)

Trakt distinguishes between watched (as it says, the ones you watched) and collected (the ones in your collection) items.
Before the API-change, the addon script marked an item as 'watched' in your trakt library via scrobbling. And it synced the trakt collection with your local kodi-library (which means that movies or episodes deleted from kodi also disappear in your trakt collection - of course, it's not part of your collection anymore).
In trakt V1 you could toggle both the watched and collected status anytime (e.g. via the website), but the addon was supposed to only work as a sync tool with your local Kodi library so that your trakt account is always up to date and vice versa. Hope the new script is going to have all those awesome features as well.
Btw: is library sync already working with the new API?

I see, makes sense.
But imagine if you just watch a movie from genesis, without adding it to your library, then it shouldn't add to trakt collection, should only mark it as watched.

I don't have any worthwhile update on the status of the add-on (other than knowing at least one person is working on an update, @razze) but I thought I would share something I found on the Trakt VIP forum. @jesuph created a Chrome extension that allows you to use features that are otherwise unavailable due to the fluid state of the transition. It provides access to some features otherwise not available via browser and restores some functionality that is temporarily unavailable. Post follows:

I guess I should've checked here first. Just updated to Helix today and I've been going crazy wondering why it's not doing anything when I run the plugin.
