hi,
i think i first saw this in jrivers media center. a "party mode" that you can enable when you have friends over for some beers and want to listen to all kinds of music. my idea for xbmc:
- you can not start playing a song as you like, but instead it goes into a playlist. you can not skip songs, delete songs (not without a password or some key-presses)
- if you select the same song multiple times, a note comes up that this song has been played in the last 10 or so songs, and will not be added until it's been 10 songs between.
- xbmc will lock onto a specified folder eks. my music/albums/ on the computer. so your friends can't start playing games, videos etc.
you get the idea, anybody up for it? please come with some input on this idea! i think this would a great feature in the already great xbmc!!
