In my opinion <cachemembuffersize>2621440</cachemembuffersize> for Rpi 256mb and <cachemembuffersize>5242880</cachemembuffersize> for Rpi 512mb.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - amanita - 2013-06-01

Hello rbej,

with the updated Gotham Branch (31.05.2013) I got the following error of the VNSI PVR-Client:

Code:
00:51:06 T:2929579104  NOTICE: Thread PVRClient start, auto delete: false
00:51:06 T:2929579104   ERROR: Unable to load /usr/lib/xbmc/addons/pvr.vdr.vnsi/XBMC_VDR_vnsi.pvr, reason: /usr/lib/xbmc/addons/pvr.vdr.vnsi/XBMC_VDR_vnsi.pvr: undefined symbol: _ZTI10CVisShader

The add-on fails to load.

Is it possible, that you implement vnsi version 3 to the Gotham Branch, because of the working vdr-addon 3.0.8?
So one could test the out of sync issue on the RPi while watching LiveTV.

Regards

Hi rbej. Great work!

Since the kernel has been upgraded I finally get my DVB-T stick recognised as a Realtek RTL2832U but it still fails to find the tuner...

Any ideas? Here is the relevant output from dmesg:

[ 9.973641] usb 1-1.2.6: dvb_usb_v2: found a 'Realtek RTL2832U reference design' in warm state
[ 10.003266] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_rtl28xxu
[ 10.066014] usb 1-1.2.6: dvb_usb_v2: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer
[ 10.066092] DVB: registering new adapter (Realtek RTL2832U reference design)
[ 10.072060] usb 1-1.2.6: dvb_usb_rtl28xxu: unknown tuner=NONE
[ 10.101237] usb 1-1.2.6: dvb_usb_v2: 'Realtek RTL2832U reference design' error while loading driver (-19)
[ 10.133857] usb 1-1.2.6: dvb_usb_v2: 'Realtek RTL2832U reference design' successfully deinitialized and disconnected

The DVB-T stick device ID is 0bda:2838 and I'm using your Gotham branch build downloaded today (1st Jun).

Any help will be hugely appreciated!!!!

UPDATE:
--------------

I think the tuner chip in my DVB-T stick is an R820T - I have found something that may get it to work here:

http://openpli.org/forums/topic/20899-rtl2832u-chipset-support-proposal/page-6?p=329670#entry329670

Any chance of adding this tuner to your build, rbej?? Pleeeeaaaase!!!

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-06-01

This is patch for kernel 3.8 rc4. My build have kernel 3.9.4.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - smd100 - 2013-06-01

What about this. It says 3.7+. Would this include 3.9.x??

Thanks.

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-06-01

Updated Frodo Branch

- [rbp/omxplayer] Support automatic deinterlace correctly. Fixed deinterlace and better audio sync after errors (works perfect with my out of sync test files). Please set deinterlace to Auto.

- updated Connman to version 1.15

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - smd100 - 2013-06-02

Hi. Further to my post before about the RTL2832 DVB stick, I managed to get it to recognise the stick *and* the R820T tuner in Raspbmc using the link I posted before.

Here is a link to the .ko file I created:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6CRJk9N9Y6_Vk90TkZkYXVGdUU/edit?usp=sharing

Would it work by just putting it in /lib/modules/3.9.4/kernel/drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2 directory?? This is pretty much what I did with Raspbmc, but Openelec is a bit more complicated as the file structure is compressed in SYSTEM and expanded at runtime, isn't it?

(Anyway, here are the steps I followed to create working rtl2832.ko file - http://openpli.org/forums/topic/20899-rtl2832u-chipset-support-proposal/?view=findpost&p=339988 ).

rbej, as you probably realised, I am relatively inexperienced in Linux, but if it seems possible, can you put it in your next build and I'll let you know the result.

THANKS!!!! Big Grin

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-06-02

This patch is not working without proper configuration linux.arm.conf in OpenElec. Support device Rtl2832 must be enable in this file:

Hi,
have you removed time-zone settings from system settings ? :mumble:
I can't find it Huh

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-06-02

I nothing removed. Please delete Guisettings.xml

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - -zero- - 2013-06-03

If you are running Gotham Branch change the look of the gui by right key and switching from basic to advanced or expert. Looks like a new feature. Very frustrating if you don't know Wink

is there something in a XML-file wich can manipulated directly?

RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Trixster - 2013-06-04

One thing to be aware of; the skin you're using might not yet support the GUI change sidebar so you might have to go back to Confluence first to change it. That's certainly the case with toiva's Confluence Modified skin at the moment.
