RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - nuttypro69 - 2013-07-04 Hey rbej anythnig new for Frodo Branch It been away since we got any update from you just a fast question .not even to update librtmp RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-07-04 Frodo is dead. No new patches and fixes from 2 month. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - pplucky - 2013-07-04 (2013-07-04, 17:14)rbej Wrote: Frodo is dead. No new patches and fixes from 2 month. Does that mean that you'll no longer release new images, not even to update librtmp, for instance? Thanks in advance. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - popcornmix - 2013-07-04 (2013-07-04, 09:57)Koloss Wrote: rbej: Can you analyse the MKV starttimes problem? I assume this has always been slow, rather than a regression. The problem is that ts files have no index, so to determine what streams are present you have to parse (quite a lot of) the file before playback starts. This is slow. There are some patches to xbmc mentioned here (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=150887&page=12) that aim to allow streams to be started without knowing the content, and to allow the audio and video streams to start (and stop) dynamically. That may appear in future, but it's not ready yet. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-07-04 Updated Frodo Branch - updated firmware and kernel (3.9.9) - updated librtmp - adopted few OmxPlayer and PVR patches from Gotham http://www67.zippyshare.com/v/81122371/file.html RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Koloss - 2013-07-04 rbey and popcornnix thank you for your replys. 1. Popcornnix you speak german? 2. What are the differences between frodo and gotham releases? 3. Okay, the ts files are seemingly problematic as mkv! Would be nice as what appears in the future! RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - spjonez - 2013-07-04 Thanks for the Frodo update rbej! I'd love to help test your Gotham releases but a few addons I need haven't been updated yet so I'm stuck with Frodo for the time being. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Milhouse - 2013-07-04 The Frodo update seems to fix the audio glitches on Sky Sports and ESPN streams - I guess that's down to the old version of librtmp that OE ships with. /sighs. Cheers, rbej. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - misa - 2013-07-04 (2013-07-04, 22:13)spjonez Wrote: Thanks for the Frodo update rbej! I'll have to take that back, building stock OE with the latest librtmp doesn't fix the problem, so it must be one of your other patches that fixes the streaming audio problem - would be nice to pin it down... RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - rbej - 2013-07-05 Updated Frodo Branch - updated kernel (3.10.0) - updated Weather Wunderground addon - added limitcacherate to advenced settings. Introduced setting 'limitcacherate', which, if present and set to 'false', disables rate limiter when writing to the cache buffer, therefore allowing the buffer to be filled as fast as the source allows. Disabling the limiter (and, when doing so, making player believe it doesn't utilize cache by not returning stats) helps to maintain buffer as full as possible. Underruns are virtually gone. And, if memory buffer is used, the cache writer thread will block whenever the buffer is full, therefore preventing uncontrolled looping. http://www19.zippyshare.com/v/38670572/file.html RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - delinend - 2013-07-05 (2013-07-04, 14:57)rbej Wrote: Updated Gotham Branch It looks like that the Edimax Wi-Fi i broken in this build.
