RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Milhouse - 2012-10-24 Would it help if I provided an archive (~180MB) of my Movies folder - just the nfo, fanart-jpg and tbn files? Then if you (Popcornmix, Gimli) create dummy mkv's for each tbn, you'll have pretty much what I have (in terms of imagery for a media library). RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Milhouse - 2012-10-25 (2012-10-24, 22:43)gimli Wrote: No, i ment delete you local database and thumbnails and re-scrap them. Somewhere old sized images are used. So redo it from scratch. A full re-scan works fine, I left the Pi (settings fanart=256, imageres=128, 128MB GPU) to complete a media library scan totally from scratch (I dropped the db's on the MySQL server, removed any Thumbnails and associated databases from the Pi) and then once it had finished, I browsed Movies and the images displayed normally and without errors. However, I then cleared the cache (rm -fr ~/.xbmc/userdata/Database/Textures13.db ~/.xbmc/userdata/Thumbnails, restarted XBMC) and OMX errors ensued (insufficient resources etc.) So it seems that the problem is the combination of re-caching images while concurrently displaying those images. If you can't reproduce this problem, I can supply you with the contents of my media library (sans movies, obviously). RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - sraue - 2012-10-26 Hi, OpenELEC Development build (r12268): http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20121025233849-r12268.tar.bz2 to update a older build without reinstalling see: http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=Updating_OpenELEC#Manually_Updating_OpenELEC Please also read http://sources.openelec.tv/tmp/image/openelec-rpi/READ_FIRST.txt for general notes about our development builds. This are the changes:
With one of the last builds we have update the latest bootloaderfiles to support 512MB RPi's (see: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=20255&start=25#p198079 and http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=20255&start=25#p198247. This also also includes the following changes:
Please backup your old config.txt in the case you dont find your license codes anymore before you install this update After the update please check your /flash/config.txt byself and report back any issues. Please report back if this update work like excepted on 256MB and 512MB Raspberry's because XBMC now supports officially RPi and PVR please use XBMC's Trac (http://trac.xbmc.org/) to report XBMC bugs and OpenELEC's github issue tracker (https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues) for OS related issues and feature/driver requests. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Milhouse - 2012-10-26 Wow! r12268 is possibly the best yet! With 128MB GPU I just browsed through my already scanned media library and caching and display performance is excellent, with all images displaying as they should - no insufficient resource errors at all! Checking vcdbg while browsing, it seems on average there's about 40MB free memory. This is just excellent. And even better, thumbnails have the right proportions again! I did get three OMX errors while browsing through Movies, that I haven't been able to reproduce: Code: 01:27:03 T:2978874464 NOTICE: Thread Jobworker start, auto delete: true Thanks so much sraue, popcornmix and gimli... @sraue: With this build I've now got a bunch of add-ons that need updating, but I'm not sure how to update them all automatically - it seems to be a manual process (Settings -> Add-ons -> Available Updates). I tried updating the The MovieDB addon but it crashes XBMC. Other addons, such as TheTVDB seem to update OK. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Bighampton - 2012-10-26 Wifi still broken for me. I'm using the Edimax EW-7811u (RTL8188cus chipset), RPi Model B 512MB (256/256) # dmesg ... RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Milhouse - 2012-10-26 Is it my imagination or is CPU usage during 1080p H264/DTS video playback significantly reduced in this build (as reported by top, and debug overlay)? Previous builds would peg the CPU at 100% for 1080p H264/DTS, but now it averages around 65-75%, peaking at 100% only rarely... impressive (this is while overclocked at 1000/500/600/force_turbo on a 512MB board with 128MB GPU RAM). Also, "zooming" of video is fixed - 1080p is displaying at 1080 resolution once more! So far so good with this build... I'm well chuffed! RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - mactalla - 2012-10-26 Just upgraded to r12268 from an ancient r11904. Snappier response browsing the media which is great. Unfortunately for me it's not usable as a media player. Low resolution (624x352) xvid files lag the video drastically until ~60s into the video the entire thing freezes (reboot or killall xbmc.bin necessary). The same videos worked pre-upgrade with no overclocking. Re-encoding the video to x264 naturally plays smooth as silk. But if I seek to a position in the video (including "resume from..." when playing the audio completely disappears. Is anyone else seeing these issues? On SD DivX I lose audio after seeking, and video also freezes during the first minute of playback (without seeking). I also noticed some major audio sync issues on VC1/AC3 - I only have one such video though (Blade Runner Final Cut). Example SD video with freezing/loss of audio after seek: Code: General RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - zanardi - 2012-10-26 I have a keyboard "Logitech Wireless Touch K400" that work with raspberry. Only one problem: on the top of the keyboard I have some key for regulate the volume level (http://tienda.manchanet.es/productos/Logitech/9922740-3414.jpg). If I press for increase the level, all ok. But the mute and the decrease of the level don't work. How can I solve the problem? Thank you RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - Goofy2 - 2012-10-26 Just updated from r12220 to r12268. Wifi works fine out of the box (TP-Link TL-WN722N). Picture ratio seems fine again during the slideshow. Random blurry pictures still appear. Blurry pictures = pictures displayed with low resolution, the same picture is displayed correctly. Xbmc freeze after about 10min of picture slideshow, ssh access ok. xbmc.log - http://sprunge.us/ePWZ vcdbg reloc - http://sprunge.us/hgFe RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi - gimli - 2012-10-26 (2012-10-26, 14:41)Goofy2 Wrote: Just updated from r12220 to r12268.
