Play that file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/transformers.ts
Choose Deinterlacing: Auto Deinterlacing-Method: Deinterlace Scaling: Lanczos3 Optimized

The second setting can only be done when the "Use SWFilter" Option in Video Acceleration (Expert Setting) is triggered.

Then watch the sample 4 times in a row (verify the settings) and post the results.

Those, that you showed now are not an issue at all (concerning the CPU temp).

Is temps of 145F CPU/GPU normal? thats what it shows me on systeminfo

Keyboard and hardware detection seem to go through fine, but DHCP fails. When trying to manually configure the network interface it fails as well. Looking at dmesg the following repeats over and over:

e1000e 0000:00:19.0: eth0: Detected Hardware Unit Hang

Same issue here. This appears to be a problem with the NIC itself. Intel will only provide Windows support so I'm just going to see if I can return the unit and buy something else. I also haven't been able to get sound to work correctly with xbmcubuntu on it so I'm not impressed with the NUC's at all.

What nuc do you exactly own?

It's model D54250WYK.

I had this problem as well with my Sandy Bridge Celeron NUC. It seems to be some flaky interaction between the NIC and that particular version of the e1000 driver on the install ISOs. If you can get everything installed and then do an apt-get upgrade things tend to work well. Also, installing Linux Mint instead of bare-bones Ubuntu works as well.

Frustrated with Intel at the moment. Surprised at how many of you guys got a new retail box NUC sent to you so easily for not having the internal USB header. I have had quite the opposite experience getting my NUC replaced with the internal USB header populated.

I sent a Support ticket via the link in the wiki, and gave all the appropriate information like purchase info, serial number, etc. I was told I had to send the NUC back to Intel on my dime, and they would evaluate it and send me a replacement. Fast forward about a week w/o my NUC (So lack of Multimedia entertainment as well Confused ) and a replacement bare NUC in brown box shows up. I open up the NUC to install the memory, hard drive and INTERNAL RC6 receiver, and guess what, NO internal USB header. I also realize, I left the screws in the bottom of the NUC to mount to the VESA plate, under the assumption I would get a retail box version like everyone else. (Nope.) So I email Intel support again, and they say they will send me a G80888-106 version of the NUC, once I PAY AGAIN to ship that NUC back to them. At this point, I am getting a little bit angry, so I fire off a reply, that I want a new retail boxed version NUC and a prepaid return label, and when I receive the unit and verify it has the internal USB header, I will send it back. So, I get a reply back, that they are sending a UPS label to me and that once I return the unit and they evaluate it, then they will send me a new unit. Guess they don't trust me to return the unit Rolleyes So, it appears I will be without my XBMC unit for close to 3 weeks before I get a replacement. I am not holding my breath at the moment either.

It's a miracle Intel is even considering replacing working units that have a missing internal element, not part of the specs you pay for, replaced. People who got a replacement unit for free, good for them, if you have to pay some shipping fees, big deal. I understand your frustration, but just be happy you're getting a new one.

Fair enough, but Intel got themselves into this by advertising on the DCCP847DYE product page of their website verbatim: Five USB 2.0 ports (three external ports, two via internal header)

I have the D33217GKE board and was just wondering if anyone was able to connect a regular sata drive to the msata port ?

I have drives lying around and don't really want to buy an msata one.

You mean something like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/StarTech-MSAT2SAT3-mSATA-to-SATA-HDD-SSD-Adapter-Mini-SATA-to-SATConverter-/331196600462?pt=US_Drive_Cables_dapters&hash=item4d1cdb108e
