Anyone want to know ;-)

Good news for you boys about Semirec IR

I can now turn it on and off with my Logitec Harmony One :-) :-) :-)

Use pin 2 as 5V+ and pin 3 as 5V-

There was only 4,62V between pin 2-3, but is working OK

I can point my Logitech backwards, even then it starts ;-)

Well done bud! Just need to prettify the hole now!

What IR dongle you using to control it? I'm gonna use a RC6 one off an internal USB header Smile

So I'll end up with 2 holes for 2 IRs Smile

Using Simerec IR header, just connect it to the power switch, this is just for power to control XBMC i use flirc ;-)

So does the Simerec take up its own "device" on the Harmony remote? If that makes sense. Or will the Simerec look for any IR command and trigger the device on?

RE: Intel NUC - HTPC possibilities - churchwa - 2013-04-16

Can you not use hdmi cec to turn it off and on?

I don't know if CEC works on the Intel Nuc

Simerec don't take up any device on Harmony, have Samsung tv profile to control Flirc and use the power toggle comand on that profile to switch on and off PC with Semirec ;-)
Just work soo perfect, happy with it now :-)
