The work on this Add-on is very appriciated but sadly I have the same bug. It works with timeshift turned on but the switch time is unbearable.
I have version 1.6.9 of the add-on, DVBViewer 5.1 and DVB Viewer Recording Service 1.25.

They've removed the 'Reset the PVR Database' option so if I change my favourites in dvbviewer they won't update in xbmc.

I keep trying the nightly builds because I'm still having problems with epg. If I get the epg up by pressing 'e' sometimes a bunch of the channels aren't listed and if they are the first time I do it half of them have disappeared the next time I try a few minutes later! Pressing <tab> to get the channel list up always shows all the channels but only shows epg for a view of them (sometimes when I've been viewing the channel a few minutes).
Do all of you guys have perfect epg on all your channels?!

Hm ... seems I need to update to 5.1 and 1.26 ...
Besides - Portisch - are you alive? I started trying a backport of your addon for Frodo 12.2 as nightlies are to buggy in different areas - but I might need some assistance here ...
I reverted the API from the xbmc repo, but it seems I'm missing something as I can´t connect - status 6 is any other error, which doesn´t really help me ... and no - I'm not a h3ll coder ...

Guys, do we have any hope that someone will start supporting this great addon again?
I think DVBViewer is the best PVR Server out there, and also the addon is working pretty well, but:
1) TS is not working unless accepting a terribly long channel switching time
2) Channel switching is (AFAIK) by far the fastest when compared to other XBMC PVR Addons, but it is still far slower than the DVBViewer original client. Maybe it would be possible to achieve the same results as the original client?
I guess we are almost there in fixing the above 2 main issues, but seems nobody is caring to jump on it...

Small heads up: My current code just got merged into the official repo by Lars. So I'll start to work on Portisch changes now.
For those suffering from memory corruption, please send me your channels.dat (http://$RS_HOST:8089/api/getchannelsdat.html. Do *not* safe as txt on windows. This will corrupt the file) and your favorites - if used. Valgrind didn't show up anything useful.

Me too, I even rolled back to 12.0 with same result :-( (although that could be that it's not compatible with recording service 1.26?)
