Kodi's PVR is a moving target right now.

Stick to monthlies if you don't want the extra challenge.

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - vimarbla - 2014-10-03

Hello,

I have two installations of xbmc 13.2 with dwbviewer pro in two windows 7. All are the lasts versions (software, addon, etc...). And both have exactly the same configuration.[/color]

My problem is with the option in the dwbviewer addon "use favorites channel list"
One of my systems works perfectly, I can see all the channels without this option and only the favorites list (configured previously in dwbviewer pro), if it is activated.
But in the second system, I can see all the channels if it is not activated, but if I configure the client addon to see only the favourites all the channels disappear in the live tv section.

Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Firstly thanks for making this - I've been using the plug-in for 3 months or so, the whole pvr thing via xbmc / kodi is great.
But (yep)... there appears to be a problem with disabling notifications if there's no connection to the recording service.

With other plugins you get one 'no connection' notification / beep and then silence. With dvbviewer the messages repeat meaning the plug-in has to be disabled.
Hopefully there's a fix for this? I've tested clean installs on windows, openelec, android and the behaviour's always the same, so presumably it's a plugin issue?
Googling led me to a similar issue with the myth-tv plugin - possibly related?

I guess the "Unable to connect to the backend service. Error: ..." message gets triggered too often.
Please open up an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/manuelm/xbmc-pvr-addons. I'll take a look when I have more time.

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - CountZer0 - 2014-10-07

Hi! Im having some problems with dvbviewer rs and this add-on. Working fine most of the time but epg tends to get stuck. Like in channels list the wrong program shows under each channel. If i turn the channel off it often changes to the right one. The same happens in epg. its offset. Could it be related to the buffering that happens from time to time. Completely random. Maybe for 5 seconds or so. Once in a while. Can i do somethning to not get the buffering. The recording service is on the same computer as the xbmc client.

Deleting recordings in Kodi/PVR triggeres the delete method of RS which should delete the corresponding file on disk.
Now idea how (if ever) mysql hooks into this.

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - tavoc - 2014-10-27

I have a similar setup:

Kodi Alpha3, Mysql Database and Dvbviewer RS 1.28.

If I delete the files over LiveTV->Recordings->right click->delete the file is properly deleted. Have not tried other methods

sorry. wrong question

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - snoopy78 - 2014-11-02

thx..it looks like it's an issue with the xbmc version and my mysql db...
with kodi 14a3 i can delete...but it's a diff db...

does anyone know how to migrate mysql db from 13 to 14?

BR

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - tavoc - 2014-11-03

This works as well with XBMCbunut and Gotham 13.2 and the same Database as above (different setups through my house).

If kodi connects to your database it will automatically upgrade the database-tables. You will see MyVideosXX and MyMusicXX, where XX is a higher number.

RE: [Release] DVBViewer Recording Service PVR - alx359 - 2014-11-03

Have the following issue. Already posted in DVBviewer's forum, but was told RS seems fine and to ask back here.

For some reason, I'm getting the wrong audio track in a multilanguage channel (EuroNews at Astra 19.2). I'm hearing the top-list/parent track (German), while a different one (Spanish) was configured in favourites.xml:

From DVBViewer "Copy ID to cipboard":

2359890891784681972|EuroNews (ger)
2359890891784944116|EuroNews (spa)

In C:\ProgramData\CMUV\DVBViewer\favourites.xml
<entry name="6">2359890891784944116|EuroNews (spa)</entry>

(yes, spa's one's the same):

This is what I got for "EuroNews (spa)" from TransEdit: But don't know what to make from this.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Astra_19.2_E_12227_H>
<ES PID="2437" Name="MPEG Audio">
<StreamType HValue="0x03" Name="MPEG Audio (ISO/IEC 11172)"/>
<Descriptor HValue="0x0A" Name="ISO 639 Language">
<DescriptorLength Value="4"/>
<Language String="spa"/>
<AudioType Value="1" Name="Clean Effects"/>
</Descriptor>
<Descriptor HValue="0x52" Name="Stream Identifier">
<DescriptorLength Value="1"/>
<ComponentTag Value="6"/>
</Descriptor>
</ES>
</Astra_19.2_E_12227_H>

In DVBviewer there's no problem. I get the spa version fine from favourites. I'm feeding XBMC locally with the same favourites.xml the line above comes from. The XBMC GUI's been set to Spanish for everything I'd think of. Even tried changing to Spanish ANSI codepage in Windows 7 x32 (also have another issue with incorrectly encoded EPG's, with some cyrillic chars appearing instead of the accented chars. It's a cyrillic keyboard W7 PC).

The wrong audio track issue manifests in both, XBMC "Frodo" and "Gotham"

Thankful for any suggestions!

Maybe I should put this into a small FAQ

Quite possible. I'm just feeding the EPG vom RS into XBMC.

It worked! Didn't know I could drag like that in that tree. Thank you so much!

I see. Any advice here what to explain to DVBV dev how to fix this?

According to the docs + xml header the EPG from RS should be encoded in UTF-8. Kodi uses UTF-8 so that should be fine. Still I'd rather double check so I'm not falsely blaming the wrong guys.

So would you mind sharing your cyrillic EPG with me so I can look into this? My EPG only contains ISO-8859-1/15 characters. Channel doesn't matter. I need the XML from http://$RS_HOST:8089/api/epg.html?channel=<EPGID>. You can get the EPGID from http://$RS_HOST:8089/api/getchannelsxml.html
