MediaPortal Backend Windows, MediaPortal Frontend Linux, no channels listed - bryanhilton - 2012-10-14

Hi experts!

I am running Windows 7 with MediaPortal TVServer backend, XBMC Eden on one host and XBMC Eden and MediaPortal plugin (1.2.2.111) frontend on Ubuntu but when I select Live TV on the remote Frontend, there are no channels listed. does anyone have any ideas?

okay, figured it out, seems that only one frontend can be used at a time. shutdown xbmc on backend and it started working on remote host. weird!

Multiple connections to the TVServerXBMC plugin should be possible. I'm using this myself to test the TVServerXBMC plugin: a telnet connection and a XBMC connection at the same time.
Not sure what will happen if both frontends request the channel list at the same time. It might be that there are some locks missing...
