Woohoo, I just let it rename everything, brilliant Smile

I would love it if I could something like English title (foreign title) as XBMC display with it?

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - myron - 2013-07-15

15.07.2013 - version 2.1 - r725
regression: thread crash on multiple datasources
fix: movie cleanup with moviesets (in testing)
some other minor things...

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - Azake - 2013-07-15

hey myron,

could you please explain me how your film sets function is working ?
If I manually Create a set and use the set searching function he will associate all movies to this set and save it with an extra moviefanart set. so far so good,
but tinymediamanager always forget my film sets under your movieset tab after i closed tmm. also "read film information" won't bring me my already created film sets back.
Am I Doing something wrong ?
Even if I would let TMM search automatically for film sets he is forgetting some or all of the sets.
Some sets TMM is finding and then most he isnt finding.

Cheers,
Azake

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - mlaggner - 2013-07-16

Hi Azake,

could you send a bug report from inside tmm after you did yor work on film sets? (before shutdown).
Maybe there is still a regression with storing of sets..

thanks,
Manuel

Ye sure. I will do it later that day.

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - alspoll - 2013-07-17

Loving this program.... easy to use and feature laden.

I have a couple of feature requests for tv shows:
1. Adding the tv sort tag, ie <sorttitle clear="true"></sorttitle> (field found in the "TV Show Sets Grouping for custom sort order filters the Video Database Library?" thread, post #30.)
2. add the <displayseason> & <displayepisode> tags (This allows specials to be displayed in the proper place. It pulls from the TVDBs Airs After Season & Airs Before Episode fields.)

Thanks for considering.

TIA,

AL

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - nipnup - 2013-07-18

Probably I am missing this, but how can I filter for just newly added movies/TV shows?

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - mlaggner - 2013-07-18

@alspoll: I will add the sort title to the tv shows too. I still have some problems with specials, I will have a look at point 2 too when solving the problems with specials Wink

@nipnup: -) just saw I missed a question from you. Where would the "display title" for xbmc should be placed in the NFO? can't remember any tag for it..
-) there is no explicit filter for new movies, but you can sort the list by date added - descending, so all new movies are at the top of the list. I think this should give the same effect

PS: in the last release a new scraper called moviemeter.nl found its way to tmm (by accident). It's not finished and won't work at the moment. We will remove it in the next release and add it when it is finished

Ignore this request... just noticed the option under movie images

'mlaggner'

Thank you for adding these fields.

If I may, I have 1 more request with respect to Movie Sets and artwork. I use "Movie Set Artwork Automator" to apply set poster and fanart for my movie sets. Rather than save the artwork in the movie's folder, can we have the option to save all set artwork to a specified folder?

For ex for Alien Anthology (Set name):
\Artwork\Alien Anthology-fanart.jpg
\Artwork\Alien Anthology-folder.jpg

Thanks again for this great software.

TIA,

AL

This sounds like a good program to use with my collection of Anime and Tokusatsu (Japanese superhero shows), but I'm concerned that this software doesn't use the specialist scrapers for anime such as AniDB and the official one for Anime News Network.

Curious as I have a lot of anime as well. What does AniDB offer that TVDB does not?

TIA,

AL

Been busy playing with the software and the previous comment reminded me too...

Also, any option to manually type in the TVDB id if the search function does not find the show?

I was trying to lookup Un-Go (ID 252472) but it would not come up with any matches regardless of how I formatted the name.

TIA,

AL

Basically, AniDB has information on a lot of Anime, OAV's and Hentai that TheTVDB doesn't have and vice-versa, plus it seems to be better when it comes to naming episodes of shows.

RE: tinyMediaManager - a media manager written in Java (Win/Mac/Linux) - mlaggner - 2013-07-19

@alspoll: - there is an option for the movieset automator in die settings/movie - images section. It should already work with the movieset automator
- we included an id search for imdb already; I can have a look if that will also work for tmdb (but tmdb id is only an integer - how should we separate between the movie 2012 and the movie id 2012?)

@borgmanjayce: we can consider adding more scrapers, but this is indeed a lot of work and needs some time (since we have tons of open points already Wink )

That's good to know that you'll consider adding more scrapers for Anime as I tried out EMM on a few shows and it doesn't seem to work with a few of the older more well known anime like Zillion and Tenshi no Shippo Chu!, for example.

EDIT: I installed TMM yesterday and for some weird reason, I can't find it on my desktop at all or in my Start menu (I'm using Start8 by Stardock to get the traditional menu back)
