Hi - I had to upgrade my XBMC to 13.0 alpha9 as 12.2 kept crashing on me - the crashing is fixed, but now this lyrics script doesn't work
The script loads and seems to find the lyric file and downloads it, but it won't display it - it just comes up blank.
If I check the lyrics folder the lyrics files are there and I can view them in notepad.
Also, if I press ESC to hide the lyrics pane while in the playing screen it hides, but if I try to open it again it won't - I just get an attention notice saying it is already loaded.
Any ideas?

quite a few things changed in the gotham version of this addon.
it could be the skin you're using is not yet updated to include these changes.
so please test with confluence (in case you're not already using it)
and post a full Debug Log of the issues you're having.

I'm on alpha9 & this add-on doesn't work with Aeon MQ4 or stock Confluence 2.2.1. A quick "searching" flashes, but then no lyrics. Want a log?

Latest CU LRC Lyrics v.2.0.5 tested on XBMC 13.0 Gotham Alpha 9 for OS X 10.9 Mavericks & Aeon Nox 4.0.9 with 100% success.

Could someone post the alternative link? All mirrors either don't have that directory or it's empty.

That is, exact same concept as for the new subtitles service plugins, with a common interface as part of XBMC core, if that code and GUI window(s) could be extended or reused for this too?

Could you please not 'run as a service' by default. It changes the default behavior in MusicVisualisation.xml without warning.
You need to know to close the window before being able to open the OSD.
Or get it to load the musicOSD on top with pressing M and still have the lyrics visible.
Also, if i run as default and close the window i can't re-open with the button in the OSD.

i would prefer to keep the run as service option enabled by default.
i doubt it's possible to make the musicosd accessible when the lyrics window is active, but i'll look into it.

it will re-open automatically when the next song starts (or if you exit and re-enter the music visualisation).
i'll check if it's doable to have to osd lyrics button re-open the lyrics window.

I worked around it with PlayerControl.xml, i think it's even an improvement
If you can't re-open with the button, maybe provide a label to disable the osd button with?
