Good news - they do !

It'll need a new menu option in the settings, but that isn't difficult. I'll have a go at this sometime in the next few days, but Mikey1234 is still working on adding ITV2 and ITV3 live streams. It would be better to include the port 443 workaround with the full update.

Any news on the new version with this update included?

This may help quite some expat users where the normal 1935 port is blocked by the vpn.

Don't use a VPN. Use an anonymous HTTP proxy instead. The HTTP requests will go via the proxy, hence appearing to come from the UK.

The RTMP will be streamed to you from a local cache. You'll get MUCH better performance that way.

That's what I do....

I did not go down the anonymous HTTP proxy route because it would not be possible to use such a method on my other devices (2 x Samsung SMART TV & 1 x Humax Freesat HDR). I have no performance issue with the VPN (100% free) that I am using. It even manages to stream BBC in HD! I presume I just take the ip of a UK proxy off one of the lists and use that in the hppt proxy tab of the app? I tried this last night with a fresh install of raspbmc configured to not use the vpn. I used a working anonymous proxy that appeared on almost all googled list but could not get anything to play. I really hope you will add the port 443 option to the player as I know this works.

thanks,
R

RE: [RELEASE] ITV Player 1.10 - digicammad - 2013-04-25

Hi. I'm also interested in a way of recording from ITV Player for times when I don't have opportunity to watch the programs before they disappear.

Cheers

Ian

Where I need to register to have user name and password, and how to enable the add on, all time I get error message. I first time use this addons.
Thanks

RE: [RELEASE] ITV Player 1.10 - privado - 2013-05-13

The addon does not require you to have a user or pass. You need to past a log if you are getting errors.

Mikey1234, any news on ITV2 and ITV4 streams ?

RE: [RELEASE] ITV Player 1.10 - senna99 - 2013-05-13

RE: [RELEASE] ITV Player 1.10 - Animal - 2013-05-13

My wife was looking for Life of Crime this weekend but got an empty directory structure also.

Everything else seemed to be working but not this one. It was on the website but not showing up on the XBMC

RE: [RELEASE] ITV Player 1.10 - eluSive_NZ - 2013-05-14

Also getting script error with 2.0.4 and now with 2.0.5. Was using v1.09 up until 1 week ago when it stopped working and I decided to upgrade.
I'm at work at the moment, but will get logs later on.
